I know it's only summer league but it's hard not to get excited about Trey Alexander. Looks like a legit NBA rotation player.
By midseason at the latest there's no way I don't see Pickett being cut with Alexander taking his full roster spot.

The summer camp kids trying to mimic the real Nuggets by blowing a 20 point lead to end the season.

The summer camp kids trying to mimic the real Nuggets by blowing a 20 point lead to end the season. If there's one criticism to make about Trey this Summer League, it's that he has seemed to fade near the end of the 4th in all of the games. I'd play him 45+ minutes per night once the G-League season starts like they did with Gillespie last year when he was shaking the cobwebs off from the injury.

We are a terrible defensive rebounding team.

Trey absolutely carried us over the finish line tonight. Much, much stronger finish. Great to see.

Final Summer League thoughts
Strawther - hell yes Alexander - hell yes Hall - maybe Jones - no earthly idea Tyson - absolute no hoper Pickett - whatever one rung below "absolute no hoper" is

Final Summer League stats for our guys
Julian Strawther: (2 games) 28.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.5 blocks, 4.0 turnovers, 2.5 fouls, 42.5% FG, 40.9% 3PT, 70.0% FT
Trey Alexander: (5 games) 17.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.4 blocks, 2.6 turnovers, 0.8 fouls, 52.7% FG, 47.8% 3PT, 100.0% FT
Hunter Tyson: (5 games) 15.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.4 steals, 0.0 blocks, 0.8 turnovers, 3.2 fouls, 31.9% FG, 31.4% 3PT, 95.5% FT
PJ Hall: (4 games) 11.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.5 steals, 1.5 blocks, 1.8 turnovers, 3.5 fouls, 40.4% FG, 25.0% 3PT, 83.3% FT
Jalen Pickett: (4 games) 3.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.0 steals, 0.0 blocks, 0.8 turnovers, 1.5 fouls, 20.8% FG, 12.5% 3PT, 75.0% FT
Great two game stretch for Strawther. Ridiculous shooting splits for Trey, good rebounding, looks smooth and decisive out there. Hall needs to play more in control but I think he'll settle down, shooting-wise. Needs to rebound better. Tyson is useless, terrible defender and rebounder, bad shooting Summer Pickett is useless. Not sure I even believe he's injured, I think they just shut him down.

maybe fami will cease the hyperventilating over guard depth now that Trey is proving to be that guy.

maybe fami will cease the hyperventilating over guard depth now that Trey is proving to be that guy. We ran out of Collin Gillespie games last year and ended up playing several games trying Holiday, KCP, and Braun as PG2 when Reggie had to start. I expect Trey will play more than Gillespie last year, but he's still only available to dress for a maximum of 50 games whether he actually plays or not. And he can't come along to the playoffs. We replaced Reggie and CG with Westbrook and Trey but KCP and Holiday remain unreplaced. Pickett needs to go and be replaced with a serviceable vet. Jones, Holiday, Walker, somebody. There are still guys out there. And I'm super excited about Trey so far, but one hot Summer League is not enough to go all in and say he's that guy. I think he's going to be that guy and I hope he's going to be that guy, but we've seen five Summer League games. Pump the brakes. Hunter Tyson shot even better last Summer League than Trey did in this one and then he went on to make me want to bang my head against the table all G-League season long.

maybe fami will cease the hyperventilating over guard depth now that Trey is proving to be that guy. I like Trey but he is barely any more PG than Eric Gordon. I think he moves a lot more like a SG. I get the Murray comp, but Murray have always had Jokic Trey does provide guard dept as you said tho 😂 What is the two way rules, how many game and practice days can he have with the team?
