Trey Alexander
Combine measurements; height - 6'3, standing reach - 8'5, wingspan - 6'10, weight - 187, max vertical - 32, lane agility - 11.37, shuttle - 2.92
23-24 college stats - 18/6/5/1/0/2
percentages - 45/35/82
Long, skinny, unathletic, nice touch, nice awareness. Will need to get stronger, but there's a lot to like in terms of potential.
PJ Hall
Combine measurements; height - 6'8, standing reach - 8'7, wingspan - 7'1, weight - 240, max vertical - 39, lane agility - 11.76, shuttle - 3.01
23-24 college stats - 18/6/1/1/1/2
percentages - 49/31/78
Tweener. Not long enough to play center, not quick enough not to. Needs to shoot better to make it, but shows potential. Smart and very likeable guy.
DaRon Holmes II
Combine measurements; height - 6'9, standing reach - 9', wingspan - 7'1, weight - 236, max vertical - 34, lane agility - 11.2, shuttle - 3.03
23-24 college stats - 20/8/3/1/2/2
percentages - 54/39/71
Big upside potential. Shows some range both offensively and defensively. No huge red flags or issues. Biggest question mark is whether or not his 3 point shooting is going to translate.
I'm posting this for some good vibes since the offseason is a snooze-fest so far. I know nobody here cares about the draft this year, but I think Booth did well with what he had to work with and I'm excited to see these guys this summer.

I just hope Holmes is better than Hall. That's all I ask.
I don't want another Gillespie/Pickett or Facu/Reed situation where we have a two-way guy who is much, much better than a main roster guy we are propping up for no reason.

Hall to me looks far from NBA quality. He looks tiny in the videos i have seen. Someone please link me to where he plays BIG
Trey Alexander on the other hand looks way better than Pickett.

Unfortunately, I think there's little chance that Hall ever plays meaningful NBA minutes. It's not impossible, but to overcome slow feet + an 8'7.5 standing reach is close to it. Holmes doesn't have any of those issues. That said, combine measurements aren't the be all end all.

Alexander at age 21 and Strawther at age 22 is a nice little guard combo moving forward.

Alexander at age 21 and Strawther at age 22 is a nice little guard combo moving forward. You can at least look st them and see a path to NBA relevance, say compared to Pickett who has never looked like even close to an NBA prospect. I remember when we drafted him there were multiple analysts who said we could of signed him undrsfted or moved down to the 50s to get him. Which says alot about his draft value at the time.

Kinda lucked out considering the Holmes injury. IMO both trey and strawther deserve some decent minutes this year. Sucks that Pickett and Tyson somehow got worse, but there's only so much playing time to go around anyway and I think it would be a shame not to get trey and straw involved.
Hall surprised me a little too. I think sometimes as fans, we focus a bit too much on the ball handler and forget about the guy setting the screens. Hall sets a great screen and he looks pretty good at catching the ball clean and having the awareness to know what to do with it when he gets it. Honestly, he's probably ahead of Zeke in those areas.

The biggest thing for Hall, I think, will be the same thing that has been an issue for guys like Jay Huff and Jack White: rebounding at the NBA level. Huff and White can get you 7-12 rebounds in a G-League game all day, but it never really translated into NBA boards for them and that's why they're two-way guys and/or international league level guys instead of full time NBA players. We need Hall to show a lot of growth in that area this year in the G-League. His shot may fall and it may not fall on any given night, but if he can consistently box out and get boards he can find a spot. I want to see him average a dozen boards in Grand Rapids. It may sound like a lot, but rebounding is much easier in that league. Gillespie averaged 10 last year. Hall can do it if he puts his mind to it.
