Would Blazers accept MPJ for Grant straight up? I would have nothing against him back over MPJ. Also, who is going to be a center for Pelicans, Alvarado? They lost Valancunias and traded Larry Nance.Jr You would be if you was an Nuggets fan when Grant signed with Pistons I was but i was not on this platform. Grant and KCP story are the same. You believe what you want. They bet on MPJ over Grant. They bet on CB over KCP + saving money. Grant contract compared to MPJ's looks like a major bargain now right? We were not willing to pay the guy what he is worth and he was and is worth more than MPJ and MPJ is at least 15 million per year overpaid... Grant would be massive upgrade over MPJ on both ends of the floor and i would rather have him on his contract than a potential MPJ/Zeke for Ingram deal i hear where Ingram is looking for a similar deal we offered to Jamal aka 50+ per year. Also, Zeke plus '31 1st S&T for Tyus Jones would be way better than Russ... Jamal/CB/Grant/AG/Jokic - Jones/Strawther/Watson/Holmes/Saric + vet minium reunion with Fournier in case Strawther is a bum. That's a championship roster.

Did we really not offer Grant money? I remember it differently

Grant told Shams he came to the Nuggets with the opportunity to match and they declined.
I miss the days when Masai would move heaven and earth before letting an asset walk for nothing.

Did we really not offer Grant money? I remember it differently Did you hear the other side of the story? We were not willing to go above 17 per year if i remember corectly and Grant tought that he is worth at least 20. So we said, ok go test the market, and when Pistons came up with 3/60 we said that we matched it but he chosed the team that actually had faith in him in the first place. That was the REAL story from mine and logical point of view.

What i seem to keep missing, in the big picture when it comes to KSE is how come they appear/are so cheap when it comes to Denver Nuggets (Not only players, but training facilities) when they spent around 1 billion dollars net on Arsenal transfers and staff in just last 3 to 4 years...Just doesn't make sense to me at all...

Grant was willing to sign for even less at the beginning but your boy Tim played himself:

Grant wanted a bigger role. The Pistons told him he could be the man so he jumped, that clearly wasn't going to happen here. Yeah, turns out he’s not him. It was the right decision at the time. And AGs size proved to be more beneficial in the long run anyway.

KSE isn't cheap with everybody as they'll overpay former Mizzou players but otherwise they are generally cheap with everything else.

Grant told Shams he came to the Nuggets with the opportunity to match and they declined. I miss the days when Masai would move heaven and earth before letting an asset walk for nothing. Yeah I’m not sure I’m buying it. That story came out last season, after we won a title and were among top two runners for another, while he’s spent his time on dumpster fires. The story at the time of the signing was that the nuggets were offering competitive salary but he wanted to play for a team that has the black community better represented (or however he put it). There was no pushback on this reporting and was reported by quite a few ppl.

One more thing - if we have signed Grant, we wouldn’t have signed AG, and he’s been our second most important player in quite a few matchups. So 0 regrets for that one.

Portland makes Denver look like Johannesburg. come on bro. the Nuggets and his agent cooked up these stories because it served both parties interest. the Nuggets didn't look like cheapskates and Grant was a pro-black hero who bet on himself and after signing with a bottom feeder. for the love of, KSE was sending out fake news to the media that they matched the Magic's offer lol. when someone tells who they are, believe them.

Booth defiantly dismissing the bones of the title team in favor of his pet draft projects better work, or he genuinely should be shown the door after this year.
Hearing guys wanted to stay and didn't even get a counter is just awful stuff. It would be one thing if it just couldn't work, but this guy is in love with his own draft evals.
If you operate like you're smarter than everybody and say it openly, you better actually be. I hope he is.

Playoff Rotation of Murray / Westbrook Braun / Trent Jr. MPJ / Watson Gordon / Saric Jokic
is going to win it all.
