Yup, I called it. He’s on vacation. Most important time of the year and he ignores every single free agent to negotiate a deal with cancar. Season over. Title hopes over This team is crashing hard and fast. Which sucks but we don’t have any picks to tolerate tanking |

Usually done deals are confirmed. the FO is probably calling all 28 other teams trying to convince them to take Zeke in a 3 way. failing that, Calvin is going to have to trade his goonies from the second round last year |

Now that the Zeke to Charlotte theory is squashed I can’t believe Charlotte asked for 3 seconds to take Reggie and we flat out said yes.
28 other GMs must be salivating to negotiate with booth.
Cheap owners hire cheap GM and this is what happens. They dismantle a title contending potential dynasty in record time.

Now that the Zeke to Charlotte theory is squashed I can’t believe Charlotte asked for 3 seconds to take Reggie and we flat out said yes. 28 other GMs must be salivating to negotiate with booth. Calvin bet he would recover his shot and be an amazing asset, and that bet backfired spectacularly. the only option for the Nuggets is to lift the trade embargo against Minny and give him back to Timmy. |

The current supposed most likely outcome is Westbrook will be waived and signed by Denver at the minimum, versus a trade.
Tony Jones alluded to that last night. I believe Harrison Wind did yesterday as well.
Sounds like something that of course has some potential to not happen, but is too openly talked about not to have the important figures agreed to it happening some way.

Id rather have monte than Westbrook I don't mind someone saying they prefer Monte - but we need a wrecking ball of the bench - someone who can just dive bomb for layups, at least 10 times a game, much like BB did for us. Westbrook can do that all day. |

The theory was that it could be used to trade for a $9 mil player, or packaged with one of our other youngsters for a full MLE level guy. ( It was a bit like the strategy the Warriors used when they were willing to take a huge D. Russell contract in a S&T when Durant opted to bolt to the Nets in the summer of 2019, after Klay tore his ACL. The Warriors only kept Russell for half a season until they convinced the TWolves to trade them Wiggins, which they couldn’t have done without the Russell contract.) That was the theory. |
