I know they said to let Calvin cook but so far, I do not like the course he is prepping. He won’t do anything Granted he is limited by salary cap rules and a cheap owner but we all know this is our team and they are going to talk about the development of strawther, braun and Watson as our key offseason “acquisitions” Our front office always gets taken advantage of, always gives our player options, is never creative and either overpays or gets shutout in free agency. I thought the hornets deal was a two parter with Zeke being invoked after today. Nope! Apparently we just got fucked straight up. 3 seconds to dump Reggie for now, apparently no reason.

100% Kroenke sports spin.
they pushed the narrative that there was absolutely nothing they could do to retain Grant when JG told Shams they declined to match the Pistons offer and they're doing it again.

Lets just use our heads here. Why would KCP leave the Nuggets if they offered him the same deal as Orlando? Like give me a logical reason. There is none. They offered more and Denver is doing the typical BS to try and save face with their cheapness. I doubt they offered the same, but probably close. I'd guess they weren't willing to give him the player option for the 3rd year though, and that was the big difference.

No, they shouldn't have offered him a deal at all. Agreed. All the Nuggets do is give guys deals they haven't earned. Only guys who really deserved the extensions they got are Jokic and AG. It's very f***ing annoying. I think in their minds they are “doing their own guys right” Or “we take care of our guys” No one cares. No one notices. Players and agents laugh at us. For the last ten years, not once has our generosity in trades or contracts helped us in anyway.

The thing that bothers me is the BS spin. Like just be honest and say you don't want to go into the 2nd apron. It's 100% reasonable from an organizational standpoint to not want that due to the penalties it puts on the team.
Just don't BS us and say you offered KCP a similar deal because why would he leave/move from his current home and go from a contender to a middle of the pack playoff team? Like come on

Last two years of the nnaji deal should have been team option No, they shouldn't have offered him a deal at all. I guess but if they thought it could be a potential trade asset they at least shouldn’t have made it so long without TO

This organization has to learn how to get an asset of some type back for its expiring contracts.

I will throw a tantrum over the Nuggets trying to save face because it makes KCP look bad to the fanbase which is complete bullshit.

This whole ‘oh guess he would rather be close to Epcot center than play for us, because we offered the same deal’ is BS

just get Russ, sign Gary and another playable vet. Sucks that our bar has been lowered so much that I read this and think “damn that sounds good!” I’ll never understand why we are a bottom 3 free agent destination. Not of contenders. Of all teams

Not that I’m super high on Klay but reports are he’s going to talk with Dallas, lakers, clippers and Philly.
3 of these teams are way over the cap. Yet they try. They get creative.
Our front office doss absolutely nothing.
Doesn’t have to be with Klay but if Dallas and the clips are trying to find a way to get a guy in the $15-20 million range why can’t we?

just get Russ, sign Gary and another playable vet. Gary??? The guy still can't score consistently and isn't solving the bench offense issues. Why not somebody like Lonnie Walker as he could be had for $5 mil/year via tax payer MLE.

We'd have to trade MPJ or Gordon to do something like that and match salaries, so that's probably why we're not in those discussions.

Of all teams It was a toss up between the Bulls and us for a somewhat washed D Wade back in 2016. We're always 'in the conversation' for big name signings but can never get anyone of note over the line. Shame when you consider a key selling point is playing alongside the best in the business who can help take someone from earning $6.5m one year to $22m the next! Is there something in the water in Denver?
