And considering Calvin is half the drafter TC was then Im aboard the trade MPJ wagon.
If Pickett would have been an Monte Morris we would be back2back champions

Nuggets Had Interest In Paul George But Ended Talks Over Draft Picks JUN 28, 2024 8:29 AM The Denver Nuggets were interested in LA Clippers wing Paul George via an extend-and-trade transaction. The Nuggets would have had to give up Michael Porter Jr., Zeke Nnaji and significant draft capital in a deal. Talks ended over the draft picks. Denver wasn't willing to move significant draft picks in the deal. The Nuggets likely would have incurred tax apron issues for years to come by acquiring and extending George in a deal. That makes having draft picks to replenish depth an important part of their roster-building process. SAM AMICK AND ANTHONY SLATER/THE ATHLETIC s&t KCP to the Mavs for 2 FRP + 2 2nds reroute those picks + MPJ/Zeke to LA for Paul George not rocket science.

Klay Thompson?!?!? Not sure how that is even financially possible. he's going to have to accept the tax player MLE, that's how it's possible. I don't hate it tbh. I always wanted Klay next to Murray and Joker, even in his semi-washed state.

Id rather have you than Booth Hes gonna do nothing, trust Watson, Braun and Strawther and pretend he was «aggressive»

Actually, by dumping Reggie for nothing and if KCP walks, Nuggets should fall below the 1st apron now...meaning they could offer the full MLE at around $12 mil/year. Not convinced Klay would accept that amount after being on a max deal but maybe Calvin knows something we don't.

s&t KCP to the Mavs for 2 FRP + 2 2nds Are the Mavs even under the cap, let alone 20-25 mil under?

I'm afraid Thompson is washed! Even in his diminished state, he made 268 threes last season, more than any Nugget including Porter.

s&t KCP to the Mavs for 2 FRP + 2 2nds Are the Mavs even under the cap, let alone 20-25 mil under? THJ was just traded to the Pistons, I'm sure a three-team trade could've worked out if the Nuggets were creative enough.

I'm pretty sure Paul will gladly sign the extension if we offer him the 4th year, something Ballmer is unwilling to do.
the major hiccup from what I read is the Clippers are not trading him to Denver without draft capital, which we of course do not have.

I know its currently fashionable to bash the Nuggets’ FO, but while I’m not entirely sold on their talent evaluation, they seem to know what they are doing when it comes to CBA rules and what is feasible. Trades are hard and other teams want to get the better (in some way) of deals they make, so assuming that such and such team would go for some trade we might like to see happen is unrealistic.

An interesting development is the resurgence in interest in salary dumps/expiring contracts.

scooter, they are willing to let KCP walk out of principle because they don't want to help a conference rival. this is self-defeating.
