I got the Wolves by 15+ tonight. Hope I'm wrong and they pull off the win but I just can't see any way possible that they win. Line is only -4.5. Crazy It’s -3.5 now. Must be a lot of money coming in on Denver.

I can't be the only one who's noticed that Jamal's "trademark face", so to speak, changed mid-season to a glaring grumpy grimace. The kind a professioanl wrestler would work on. This was fine when they were winning, but now it would be nice to occasionally see a smile once in awhile. Pro wrestling is fake with poor acting and works for what it is, but it's stupid for a kid from Canada who's supposed to be a scorer and a decent human being. We haven't seen much of this side lately, and it's adversely affecting his game. I'm going to disagree and say what's adversely affecting his game is him missing shots. Maybe he don't go 3/18 tonight LOL.

I don’t think anything is affecting his game in this series except sore shins, knees, calf muscle, ankles, and smothering defense by Minny’s guards. Also, regression to the mean was overdue for Murray, meaning a relatively bad postseason was due as a partial offset to playing way above his head in the Bubble and in our championship run. Murray, in short, can’t always be non-AllStar in RS and a Kobe imitation in playoffs. He’s human, after all.

Don’t know about you guys, but as the tipoff nears I am more confident Nuggets are gonna fire, big flame coming. Don’t know why but that’s the feel.

IMO, they'll start guns blazing. What matters is if/when they take their first breath.

We can live with him coasting some in RS, but if he don't play like an all-star in postseason you ain't winning squat eith zero backcourt all-star quality players. It just doesn't happen. In fact I'd be curious how many teams have won a title with no all-star appearances in the backcourt.

the Nuggets have no one to blame but themselves for the state of Jamal. Nuggets had the shortest offseason and were rewarded with the worst bench in the league with Jamal given the honorific duty of carrying fringe and non-NBA talent all season long until his injury report became identical to the anatomy of the lower leg.
Jamal should have just booked the rehab in Barbados and left the Nuggets to lose to the Lakers in the first round since Nugget fans revert to factory settings when he doesn't play well.

I don't think this narrative works at all. Murray played 65 regular season games last year and 59 this year. He averages 31ish MPG and scores around 20ish points per game. Murray never gets rode hard in the regular season. It's actually something I was kinda nervous about coming into the season. That post ring he'd push hard for regular season success and try to hang 25-28 a night. Murray's always banged up. I think were just seeing a combination of things. He's hurt. Some regression was expected. It's fun but you can't expect him to be a HOFer without any bumps in the road every playoffs. Nuggets coaches/players haven't adjusted at all. Rightfully so after last season their trusting the process. Just makes it look that much worse when an injured player struggling is being asked to carry out a big role.

Nothing shocks me tonight. Murray/Jokic waking up as the underdogs and going off. Minny getting up early and the Nuggets getting frustrated and packing it in.
Zero expectations but the potential to make this a series exists.

Jokic's career USG is 27% he was clearly "rode hard" this season. Jokic-level in fact. if the criticism is he's not as good as Jokic and can't (physically) handle that kind of work load, then the answer is clearly yes.
