NUG WIN NUG WIN _FU ESPN,TNT,,fox sports and all the haters .. They were all foaming at the mouth after game 2. Showing ZERO respect to Jokic's MV3. They'll be getting nervous now because only Minnesota stands in the way of back to back titles. Still underdogs in this series but there's more than a little life after that win.

Nuggets open up Game 4 as just 2.5 point underdogs.

I just can't believe that we lost 2 home games to these losers First one was very winnable, we had +8 in 3rd 😡 anyway, this is a great boost, every single nugget played good, just hate Jokic did not get that TD, Just for Shaq.

Been wanting to see it all playoffs and it finally happened. A complete game from Denver.
Some of the 3 point shooting is unsustainable and Minny won't always be that bad but still lots of great things to take away. Gordon having back to back games hitting shots from deep is huge. Eventually Minny might have to come out and guard him which will create the ever so important space this offense needs. Nuggets realizing they can't play lazy/stupid defensively against this team. Thought they did a great job on pretty much everybody. Jokic getting his hands up and just putting in the effort makes a massive different on that end.

Justin Holiday has been huge off the bench when you consider what the expectations were.
Need a guy who can make 3s off the bench and he's defending really well.

Jamal said in postgame presser that his calf was fine going into the game but tightened up at the end.
That worries me for Sunday.

Jamal said in postgame presser that his calf was fine going into the game but tightened up at the end. That worries me for Sunday. He’ll be fine. He’s going to get two good nights of sleep on it and therapy. His performance tonight also gave everyone else confidence.

Jamal said in postgame presser that his calf was fine going into the game but tightened up at the end. That worries me for Sunday. Nothing a little constant booing won't fix. Might fly to Minnesota Sunday just to boo him myself. No one better than a pissed off Mal.

For game 5 on Tuesday, Ball Arena needs to put up "boo this man" every time the jumbotron shows Jamal. Bring that energy.

Joker the first player ever with at least 24 points, 14 rebounds, 9 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks in a playoff game.

I know many are saying we benefitted from a more aggressive whistle - but as usual - Malone and co adjusted excellently, and the players executed extremely well.
Murray was finally given the physical protection he needed - and while Jokic honestly did not have a monster game (by his standards of greatness) he provided absolutely PUNISHING screens. I had advocated that we bait and take contact - but what our team did more so was, our guys took massive contact on screens. However - it got to the point where the Minny players no longer wanted to get hit.
Edwards stopped guarding Murray altogether when the screen-game got going. McD and NAW both backed down - the constant hits they took from Jokic and other absolutely obliterated them. Edwards's poor shooting in the second half was the result of just getting screened too much - ditto for the other guards.
Minny tries to play us so damn tight. While I thought Bait-and-shoot was our best option - we instead deployed punishing screens. By the end, Minny didn't know what to do. It had nothing to do with strategy - simply, none of their players wanted to get hit. The constant screens took a toll on them, physically.
I was surprised that we played Gobert off the floor. For whatever reason, Kyle Anderson played liked an All-Defensive player in games 1 and 2 - he's not very good. He finally fell back to earth (very possibly due to screens as well). And due to fouling issues (again - we baited them more) the TWolves finally had to deploy "Jordan McLaughlin" because the usual bench guys got exhausted.
As long as Murray keeps getting punishing screens delivered on his behalf, then we will win this series. The TWolves players don't want to get hit by "cheesecake factory" or any of our many physical players anymore - that became evident with Edwards alone.
Game 4 will NOT be a cake walk. What I do know tho -
- If Minny players avoid screens, they'll give Murray too much room to shoot and playmake
- If Minny players take on the screens, they'll fatigue fast
In all honesty, I'd rather be Denver right now than Minny.

I laslty want to add -
Bonafide - biggest win of this season (maybe even last 2 seasons).
You guys don't realize - Minny has been waiting for this moment since their inception. Even during the KG years - fans of Minny have never walked into the Target Center favored to win an NBA Championship. Yes - KG's teams were favored a few times - but fans there knew they wouldn't get past LA or SA.
Last night was the first time in their entire franchise's history that fans flocked to the Target Center with expectations of hoisting a banner.
Our guys threw tons of cold water on that. That building has never been more electric and we tore their hearts out.
That said - Minny will come out hard on Game 4 - but as long as we're physical, we will fatigue them.

Game 4 will indeed be brutal. Minny will give everything and more. But will they play with poise?
I think we're about to see a legendary MV3 game from Joker.
Winner of game 4 wins the series imo.
And tbh it'll probably be a 50-50 game. But I believe...

Side note: I wonder if the blatant disrespect to Joker after winning his 3rd MVP has further galvanised the playing group.
No other 3x MVP has ever been so disrespected.
Nuggets be playing with a controlled anger in game 3 and I loved it.
