I actually understand some of the oldies trepidation. the Lakers have been kicking our ass longer than most of us have been alive so there is some generational trauma at work here lol. but the Lakers are light work. they can't defend us and they can't keep up with us offensively. double whammy. calm. This Lakers team is a better offensive team than last year one but way worse on defense. But the main thing is the same, AD is not the #1 option on offense, he is not an efficient outside shooter and the most important thing is, he cant guard Jokic. On the other hand, LeBron and hot shooting can keep them in close games for as long as LeBron have the gas in the tank and we are not giving full effort on defense (that will be 3 quarters). All in all, sweep is a wet dream, 5 games is reality, 6 games is the worst scenario that occurs only by insane 3 point shooting night + foul problems for AG/Jokic and 1 game on pure Reggie factor with Lakers hot and our cold shooting.

And yes, for the Lakers series i wish we had Jeff and Bruce so that AG and Jamal can rest + foul trouble. We do not have a replacement for AG and Reggie decision making and lack of D may result in DLO win them a game. It was Jamal with his play and Bruce with his mouth that destroyed DLO last summer. Unless CB takes that step in trash talking DLO like Jose A did tonight he may be confident and actually a factor in the series.

Lakers are 4th in pace and 15th in offensive efficiency. fools gold, built for the regular season. they can put up a ton of shots but they're not getting those looks against a playoff defense.

I feel way better about LA this year than last year. I think the Lakers pull out a win though.
LeBron looked gassed in the 4th.

The Lakers could have had the Kings/OKC.
Tell me again they shouldn't have tanked after they lose this series in 5.

they tried to tank but Zion checked himself out of the game over a leg cramp.
Jamal played an entire season with a f***ing hernia.

goodnight for okc- they will beat sac/pels They will sweep either team or, at worst, win in 5. Lucky them. We could have prevented their luck and had our own by beating Spurs. Lakers will be much tougher than Kings/Pels would have been.

So Zion got "injured" and literally left the arena before the NBA could do any evaluations on the injury. Brandon Ingram got "benched" during the 4Q.
So the Pels basically "out-costanza'd" costanza.

Did the Pels out-tank the Lakers? Though from reports Zion has a hamstring injury which is quite devastating.

Not sure I've ever seen anything like that ending before. Zion basically takes the game over, brings NO back from the dead. And then just walks off the court with 3 minutes left. Not even limping or holding anything. Usually when you hurt something, you at least grab at it. Then they leave Ingram on the bench even after Zion left? Very strange. And they don't even try to challenge one of the many touch fouls at the end? Pretty weird.
Tip of the cap to james though. What he's doing at 39 is just nuts. Grey hair and all, he's still the clear leader of that team.

What a way for Klay to finish this season. You may or may not like that team but it was pretty sad to watch one of the 2 best shooters of all times to play that miserably

to be honest, I only feel bad for Steph. Klay should consider himself very lucky he was able to bounce back from those devastating injuries and still play basketball at a professional level, but Steph is still elite enough to be the "Jamal Murray" on a contender and I don't want to see his remaining prime years being stuck on that sinking ship.

Klay cost himself literally millions of dollars with his stinker of a performance last night. Wanted a max as a UFA, was never gonna receive that, and now he will be lucky to receive an MLE contract. Dubs say they want to keep him, or at least Kerr has said that. Maybe his 0-10 dud last night will allow it to happen.

But I don’t see him getting anything other than a vet min. What can he do anymore? He used to be a good PoA defender. Now he’s a poor defender. He used to be able to drive to the hoop…basically didn’t even try to do that anymore. And his shooting splits have been terrible. He just doesn’t offer much. On a good night, he’s half of a 3 and D player.

I thought it was absolutely hilarious. The only thing that would have made it better would be for Draymond to have another Draymond meltdown and get himself banned.
