White Braun OG AG Jokic is this the perfect team? I'm sure your living God will absolutely love being quadruple teamed while teams live with the consequences. lol Genius. Do the math. How much is that team worth? Would that be your starting 5? I was hypothetical. Our max players where bricking WIDE open 3s in the playoffs more often than making them. Jokic will demand double and triple teams no matter who he is playing with. Defense and transition will be the difference. And when other 4 players on half court set offense are forced by default to play thru Jokic every time good shots will be created way more often than hero ball Jamal or bonehead MPJ "it's my turn". But if you want that kind of a team, then replace AG with Lauri Markannen and space the floor properly. That team you just posted is around 100 million right? What is ours at the moment?

Genius.
OG is getting a max this summer and Derrick White will be making 20m next year. the salary difference is not that drastic.
why the hell would the Jazz trade AG for Lauri Markannen? so they could recreate the magic (no pun intended) of the Aaron Gordon franchise player days?
thinking the Nuggets will cruise to a championship with "defense and transition" with no creator on the perimeter and no spacing is pure stupidity. you're not a total imbecile so I have to believe your irrational hatred of Jamal is making you argue from irrationality.

I am Italian, my english is not that good but i am quite sure the word hypothetical means the same on both languages. I am giving you type of players. 2 way role players with fundamentals and down to earth ego. I want those TYPE of players around (Golden cow, not god) Jokic. Not cocky, arrogant, childish brats like Jamal and MPJ that are black holes on defense and either super hot or super cold on offense. Way to much of a gamble. I would rather gamble with 4 good defenders, team players, decent shooters around Jokic than on those 2 and weather they are "hurt" or "hurting for their brothers and porn stars". Addition by subtraction is the word. Jokic looks at Jamal as equal which he is not and never will be. That's number one. Number 2 is both MPJ and Jamal salary going forward combined with Jokic super-max. We are not winning a single championship as is. One of them ( and i hope both of them) will need to be moved and split into 2 role players weather you like it or not.

I remember when Bucks traded for Jrue, they gave up Eric Bledsoe, George Hill and 3 first round picks. At that time our package of Barton/Garris and 2/3 first round picks would have give us a backcourt of Jrue/Jamal. We could have traded MPJ for Lauri who was with the Bulls at the time and insert a random wing at 3. Now tell me what that team would do? They would give you 90s Bulls run in the 2020s.
In ideal world in 2020 when Bucks traded for Jrue we could have had a team like this Jrue/Jamal/Grant/Lauri/Jokic. Uff, makes me wanna cry just thinking about what that team would do.
(Barton and Garris where viewed much higher and had more value than Bledsoe and G.Hill at that point in time, for those who wanna make fun of it. And Cavs traded DJJ and 1st round pick for Lauri and i bet that MPJ alone without picks beats that deal.)
Also, if we do not offer Jazz MPJ, our 28th first round pick and 3 first round swaps for Lauri i am 100% off on Booth.

how do you say, "never double and triple down on a bad argument" in Italian.
if we trade Jamal, it has to be for a player that provides similar things. going all-in on defensive role players would end in disaster and destroy soon-to-be-30 Jokic's stamina. he needs help offensively. your plan will leave him like the freaking climax scene in "King Kong".
I'm not against trading MPJ for a 2-for-1 like Bruce and GTJ. but trading Jamal is a much trickier proposition. it has to be for the right guy. not Derrick freaking White.

You dont want me strat cussing on Italian here trust me xd. First and foremost i want MPJ traded for Lauri. That is number 1. That can be done with our 28th pick and couple swaps i think. Jamal i still have faith in, but as a player, not so much in his attitude and injuries. Problem is that there is not a good option that you can trade Jamal for and get the same value in return. If there is a solid backcourt pair on the mid-level/tanking team that is making the same amount as Jamal i would do that trade. But there is no such a combo available. I cant name a single point guard that would be upgrade over Jamal. D.White is not upgrade, but if D.White type of player can come in package with for example Bogdan Bogdanovic i would do that trade in a heart bit. You get my drift? Now, imagine again hypothetical of having D.White/Bogdanovic/Lauri with as many picks needed for Jamal/MPJ. You do that without thinking twice and you get better on both ends of the floor.

no 2MG. defensively, maybe the worst front court in the league and would get exposed ruthlessly in the playoffs.
No, I wouldn't do that. you can rage against Jamal's mamba mentality and bball iq till the cows come home, but we have balance right now and you've presented to me two different extremes that are very imbalanced. the status quo is still better.

Wait what? You would say no to MPJ/Jamal our 28th 1st, 3 swaps for White/Bogdanovic/Lauri? Okay...Good night my friend. Nothing to talk about on the subject anymore. You are apperantly in love with Jamal and your logic shuts down and you get defensive without valid arguments. White/Bogdanovic backcourt are both more than capable ball handlers and PnR partners for Jokic while Lauri gives you proper spacing and solid defense. That is the team without ego and they would milk Jokic on offense 24/7 while providing more stable defense. Jamal with his attitude, injury issues and "mamba mentality" needs his own team in that case. Dont wanna go thru Kobe/Shaq drama going forward when our "Kobe" has never made a single all star team. Hit the road jack (but only for the right deal) and you can call me hater all you want, i would not trade Jamal for garbage or if there is not right deal available, but to say no to White/Bogdanovic ( hypothethical trade ) for Jamal is pure stupidity.

I'm a firm believer we need a PG creator on the perimeter that can both unlock Jokic's full power with a two-man game and get his own shot. Bogie is 32 years old and is not that guy.
I'm basing my evidence on the championship we won.
and you went from "defense and transition" wins championships to a Bogie/Lauri/Joker lineup. lol, bruh. goodnight is right.

It would be Jokic/AG/Lauri with Bogdanovic/White backcourt. Also if you think that White/Bogdanovic cant "create" out of PnR with Jokic idk what to say...other than you are blind Jamal fanboy. Jamal is slow, has no 1v1 game. Cant beat freaking Rudy Gobert on ISO without a Jokic screen or DHO. Other than tough shot making Jamal has no other elite offensive skills and that is a fact. Without Jokic 2 man game, DHO's. PnR's Jamal is average NBA point guard. Seen more than enough evidence how he is milking the clock for 20 seconds with 2nd units without creating s**t. Jokic gravity with anyone who is capable ball handler is enough to make that player more than just average. You just dont see that and refuse to addmit that Bogi/White would do more than good enough job in the same 2 man actions with Jokic while having Lauri/AG as options either on the perimeter or at the rim.

Just realised that starting 5 is way to much white for BLM murica. Would be the most hated team lol, if SAS, Perkins and other racist hated us, they would destroy us on daily basis with that team lol.

sure, they can "create" out of the PnR in a vacuum, but they can't run a 2-man game with anywhere near the effectiveness of Jamal and Joker. that chemistry is not easily replaceable.
I'm not a blind Jamal fanboy, as I just said I would trade him if the trade benefited the Nuggets. recycle my criticism of your Jokic standom to your hearts content lol. it offends you because it's true.

You calling me Jokic fanboy is funny compared to yours Jamal fanboy. You would trade Jamal for prime CP3 and Steph i think 1 for 1 without picks. You suggested to split MPJ into Bruce and GTJ but you would refuse to do the same for Jamal. That shows how much of a fan boy without logical arguments you are atm. What if hypothetical trade of Jamal and 1st round pick for White and Lauri is on the table? You would say no to that deal also... And MPJ for Bruce and GTJ? Yes? Yes. Both are good hypothetical trades, but you refuse to include Jamal in ANY realistic trade scenario because $ for $, 1 for 1 there is no realistic deal for Jamal. Just as you can split MPJ you can split Jamal.

Also, unlike you, if our teams has a "Jokic" problem instead, that our team simply cant overcome his lack of defense and his lethargy plus he is injury prone i would have zero problems with trading him for Giannis and White for example. It would be the same comp as it is Jamal for Lauri/White.

Trading Murray for multiple players would be a mistake. Just because one team is making a run off depth doesn't mean it's the norm. It always gets ignored the attention star players draw as well which makes is so much easier for role players. Just look how Murray is defended and the attention he gets in the playoffs. You can't just forget Murray closing out games in the playoffs. Depth won't do that.
You don't move Murray yet but if he lays another egg next year and forces your hand than it needs to be a 1 for 1 where you raise your floor. Try and get as close as you can to the ceiling we know Murray provides while improving the floor because there's no denying Murray has consistency/durability issues at this point. MPJ I'd be fine with moving. Personally wouldn't trade him but I get the thinking. As the team loses depth the ceiling becomes less important. You need more stability. MPJ's ceiling is lower and his floor is also lower but it's built in a similar mold to Murray. Tough having 2 important players like that with poor depth.

Ouff i dont wanna go there, but our run is what, the second easiest? That makes no sense. The west was still a battle even if Denver went 12-3 in the west. Ant played awesome it was tough putting them away. Booker couldnât miss against us. Lakers played us tough but couldnât close us out. Look at those teams this year, outside of Minny i guess

Watching the playoffs now and the Nuggets in recent years just confirms my big picture view that the Nuggetsâ starting 5 is excellent. Itâs clearly better than that of the Mavs, who donât have enough high level players. The Celtics likely would have beaten us in the Finals this year, but every year is different and our Nuggets team would have beaten the Celtics in other seasons.
Nothing in the playoffs has altered my view that the Nuggetsâ bench was just terrible this season and that created all kinds of negative effects, including the biggest effect that it wore out the starters because of no ability to manage their load in a defending championship season in which other teams were coming at them harder than usual all season and the schedule was difficult because the west is so much better and you play most of your games in your conference.
If the NBA is going to continue to allow the game to be this physical â so far the Finals are like the 90âs with âfirst team to 100 winsâ (last season, the average points/game in the Nuggetsâ playoff series against the TWolves, Suns and Lakers â Heat had little offensive talent so those games were misleading â was 220, 230, 224) â the one of the Nuggetsâ top 6 players Iâd consider trading is Porter. But Iâd only consider it and only in the right deal and a good deal may not be available for a bit until his remaining contract is shorter. (In an ideal world PJ Washington was still in Charlotte and you could trade Porter for Washington + another player â I think Washington is really good). Watching these games makes me want even more for the team to retain KCP â heâs not as great as Holiday but he has a similar important role on the team and as Iâm watching the Finals I cannot imagine the Nuggets being as good in this kind of basketball without KCP.
