Anthony Davis faked that injury (he often does).
Lakers are tanking the Pels game. We’re getting the Pels.
The lakers want OKC - they have zero desire to face us. And if that plays out, they will beat okc.
In regard to minny - Much like we did to the GRIZZ last year, we broke minny. Again, their conditioning is garbage. But they walked into ball thinking they could take us on, and absolutely got manhandled. They’re shook and on the path to implosion.
I’m still concerned about the Pels - but I’m going to predict we beat the Pels and are facing the suns in round 2.
We could very well see the lakers again in WCF.

I don't see any reason for the Lakers to beat Pels and then face us. They will go all in to beat GSW or Kings and then destroy OKC. After that that will face tired team, either Mavs or Clippers

Hastings mentioned Reggie's "health" again on the broadcast today. I still really think he'll benefit the most from this break. It's insane that he played all 82 games this year.

Nuggets play on Saturday. Only 5 days off Can’t tell if this is good or bad. We get one less rest day but so does NOLA/LA

There is a 0% chance the Lakers are tanking a play-in game lol. Most likely scenario is they win by 15+ unless the Pels have a great game from 3 which they're entirely capable of with Trey Murphy and CJ McCollum

All the more impressive that year was. GK kept that group playing hard the whole year. GK doesn't get enough appreciation for being ahead of the "layup, three and FT" curve during that season. our spacing was s**t but he came up with ingenius ways of creating space, like having Kufos parked out of bounds lol. Karl's biggest problem is he let his personality distract from the fact he was a good coach. This is actually something I can agree with.

He’s staying here where the weather is good tomorrow, and his daughter is gonna be poolside with him. Nuggets have a light practice on Tuesday and will be watching play-in game together as a team, per Malone. Jokic will be with team.

As much as teams do blatantly tank games to avoid certain matchups at the end of the regular season...I really have a hard time seeing the Lakers doing that in this scenario and then putting themselves in a true do or die game against the Warriors or Kings. I suppose it's always possible, but it just doesn't seem practical to me. I guess we'll see tomorrow though.

It sounds ridiculous, but if it's your bonafide best way of coming out of the West then you'd be crazy to not tank the Pels game.
The Lakers will 100% fancy their chances against OKC-Clippers/Mavs. And who knows, maybe they face the Kings in the 2nd play-in.
It's worth the risk rather than get pumped by the Nuggets.
That being said I really hope they win as it'll be glorious sending showing the Lakers who their Daddy is once more.

No team is tanking a play-in game. The goal is to get into the playoffs. If you think an athlete is thinking "man if we lose this one and win the next one we get a better matchup" you don't know athletes/competitiveness.

I mean you say this but the Cavs legit just purposefully tanked down the stretch vs the Hornets to ensure they went from the 3-seed to the 4-seed. They legit lost on purpose as they wanted to play the Magic. So it is happening. It just happened. Where was the competitiveness in that?
