Also, might the Thunder be low key tanking the 1st seed to avoid the Lakers and Anthony Davis abusing Chet?

if they're smart they would.
no shame in strategic tanking when you're a young team and want to avoid a humiliating first round exit. Malone did it in 2019.

Definitely feels like the 1 seed isn't going to be where you actually want to be as you'll be getting Lakers in Round 1 and Dallas in Round 2. There's no real ideal slot in the West. You basically want the Kings if Monk/Huerter are out. Every series will be tough.

Toronto's draft pick is top 6 protected. They have no intention of winning and potentially overtaking the Grizzlies' win % which would reduce their odds of retaining that top 6 draft pick. Anyway, not fussed if Twolves finish with the 1-seed as being the 2-seed with OKC 3-seed is best case scenario imo. Especially with Mavs likely in the 4-5 slot. Mavs are a very dangerous team!

The Mavericks are not a serious basketball organization and I would absolutely love to get them in the playoffs.

We need to start resting Jokic and fuc* off the seeding. The biggest reason we won it all, was rested Jokic and Jamal. Don't fall into the 1st seed trap and go with tired legs into the post season

I'd love the Mavs, not so much the Lakers. We've owned them, yes. But they still get the whistle and play tougher than the Mavs. Both AD/James look as good as ever to me.
But I don't think we can really control it this year. There's what, 3 games separating all these teams? So who knows who finishes where. Priority number one is health.

Don't fall into the 1st seed trap and go with tired legs into the post season We'll have a minimum of four days off between the last regular season game and the first playoff game, and the last two regular season games are against San Antonio and Memphis. If Jokic wants or needs the rest he'll take it then. If he skips the last two games he'll have at least 8 days of rest. We'll probably know what the seeding looks like either way after the Minnesota game anyway.

Gotta shoot for the 1 seed. I could totally see Kings losing to PHX and then beating LA or the GSW. Then we get them in the 1v8. Clippers surprise everyone and beat the Pels in 7. Then we get a tired and beat up Clippers team in the 2nd round.

Thunder lose, Wolves up 40 halfway through the 4th so we'll go ahead and call that one.
Wolves and Nugs tied, Thunder 1 game back.
Wolves next two are @suns and @lakers.
Thunder have @pacers and @hornets.
We have @clippers and Hawks.

That Lakers series was a sweep but 3 of the 4 games were very close. It's always tough playing Lebron and the LA whistle. The Mavs are going to beat the Clippers, so if the Nuggets get the 1 we'll have that matchup most likely.

Would be fantastic if the Thunder lost to Indiana although I doubt that happens.

The Bucks are such frauds. If the Celtics don't sleep walk their way to the finals, that'd be embarrassing.

That means we need to start resting him from the end of this week. Who cares about seeding

Suns mauling the Cavs. Geez they look dangerous.
They won't finish in the play-in.

Suns mauling the Cavs. Geez they look dangerous. They won't finish in the play-in. Yep, they're playing well now. Seems like the tough schedule has brought the best out of them. I thought they might be in trouble after the Spurs loss, but they bounced back and it looks like they'll survive their brutal schedule. KD has been great. He started the season slow, but he's been their leader since the allstar break. People are always so ready to send these guys off to the glue factory once they hit their mid 30's, but he's in great shape right now and has shown no issues playing close to 40 minutes every night. And he's playing defense too. This isn't like Bron standing off in the corner. Pretty much carries them when Booker and Beal start to choke. In fact, it's pretty impressive how solid he's been this season. He's at 1899 points so far this season. If he averages over 20 for the last 6 games, he'll finish with his most points in a season since 13-14.
