Delon Wright to the Heat.
truly bizarre for the Bucks to prioritize Gallo, who offers as much defensive resistance as Michelangelo's David, over Delon who is one of the premier guard defenders in the league, elite both on and off the ball which is rare.

there was more engagement on my 'Taylor Swift had poor grammy etiquette' take than Joker and the all-star game.

Jokic needs to take this s**t more seriously. It’s pathetic how little he cares and how much his team suffers because of it.

When the NBA was at its peak and the ASG was played competitively… youtu.be/VAEuIJIv6v4My solution to today’s abomination: No more 3-pointers in the game. You can take them but they only count as 2 points.

All Star Games have always sucked in every sport and they always will.

I care less about the All Star Game than about Taylor Swift. And I care zero about Taylor Swift.

Agree, NBA All-Star games (and before that, ABA All-Star games) used to be good. I watched the whole thing last year, which was the first time in decades, and it sucked. I turned it on for a minute to see Jokic touch the ball, and I had to turn it off.

Rose colored glasses. You remember previous All Star Games as not sucking because you were younger and more forgiving.
Every All Star Game in every sport in my entire lifetime has sucked ass and that's a fact.

since Silver likes to endlessly promote that the NBA is a global league now, the only thing I can think of that can save the ASG from being a longer, less exciting 3PT contest is to mimic the "rising star challenge" (they may have changed the format, I never watched a minute) which iirc, pits the US players against the international players. no more AAU ball then.

They played actual competitive games where they actually got after each other and competed. THat's completely gone now.

All Star Games have always sucked in every sport and they always will. You’re not old enough to remember the MLB AllStar games when there was real rivalry between AL and NL. I watched the 1970 game, which ended with Pete Rose crashing into Ray Fosse to score the winning run at the plate, injuring Fosse’s shoulder which affected the rest of his career. Games were played hard back then. NBA games were competitive, as the above 1993 highlight video of the AllStar game shows. It doesn’t have to be the way it is now, which has gotten ridiculous.

imagine if Giannis crashed into Jokic's shoulder and essentially ended our run over an equally meaningless and worthless exhibition game. you just inadvertently made the case as to why the all-star game should remain low stakes.

To be honest, and LeBron said this too, it starts with regular season games because they don’t even compete there either….

All Star Games have always sucked in every sport and they always will. Not true. All Star games in the 80s and 90s were excellent and competitive. those were different generations of players. now you have bunch of sissy multimillionaires. just think how these players grew up? when they kids, they play some tournaments where everyone is a winner? even if you lose, you get participation trophy. wtf is participation trophy? oooo, my boy Jimi will cry if he doesnt get the trophy and the kid who beats his ass on the court will get one! kme, kme, this is bad for kids, kme, kme! and girls and boys are same, so they get to play against each other! so everyone gets to be a winner, cause you Americans looooove winners sooooo much. praising them, building statues to alive people(this is even crazier), wanna take pictures with them, etc, etc... here in Serbia, we hate winners. we want to see them fell. but there is one thing we hate way more then winners. we f***ing hate to lose! it doesn't matter what it is. it can be world cup finals, or kids friendly match in monopoly, we f***ing hate to lose! and hate losing bring much more competitiveness then joy of winning. oh yes. cause when I win in something, I did what I suppose to do. and I dont need nor ask for any trophy. only reward I need is bragging rights against loser. and before you start complaining, bragging is never vile. you get to mock him only after you beat him and buy him beer after competition. thats how sport works. you go together on a drink, and winner will pay. and thats the only reason why country of 6.5M people have constant success in many sports(basketball, volleyball, waterpolo... ). oh, also, all of those are team sports. cause here, as I said, we don't like winners. so no one cares about who is best player, who is MVP, who is all Euroleague first team(I don't even know if there is all Euroleague first team)... its only about team success. if you are at the end of the bench in championship team, you are champion. if you score 40 ppg on second place, you are irrelevant. you are not loser, you are just irrelevant. thats why in soccer, which is premier sport in Europe, there is no playoffs. who wins the league, he is a winner. there are no playoffs... there are in Euroleague and in basketball, but we take everything from USA when we talking basketball, so its normal I guess. why Jordan participated in dunk contest? cause he wanted to prove that he is the best. he didn't grew up winning participation trophies. he grew up knowing you are either hunter or a prey. and the moment you think you don't need to be a hunter anymore, you become a prey... and he was obsessed with winning. and why LeBron never enter dunking contest? cause from business side there was nothing to gain. if he loses, he loses... if he wins, he doesn't get better deals or more money or some advantage. and he is obsessed with coining every advantage he can get his hands on.
