The celebration continued across the street at Brooklynâs with Ashleyâs parents, who watched the game from the Breckenridge Brewery on the ground level of Ball Arena. My son â who started going to Nuggets games with me in the 90âs and is now 32 â is as hardcore a Nuggets fan as you will find. After the game, he had no shortage of words for Jokic skeptics like Nike Wright and Nate Duncan, which was hilarious to me. Before the season, we agreed to get tattoos together (neither of us have any, unlike our wives) to commemorate the occasion if the Nuggets won a title. So now I have to give some thought to a tattoo design.

My first game was the Nuggets vs the Derek Harper led Dallas Mavericks.
My first season ticketsâ benefit was the Draft Party that we picked Skita and Nene. I won a Camby autographed jersey (I wore it when I flew in for Game 2 - I take full responsibility for the L)
I rarely post on this board any more but I wanted to say that the first people I thought of was you guys. Nuggets fans give die hard new definition

Ish is getting a ring. 13 teams and his ring is with the denver nuggets!
Deandre Jordan is getting a ring. Everyone hated the signing at the time - love this guy now. Great vet to have on the bench
Jeff green is getting a ring. After his heart surgery and playing for who knows how many teams he finds a home in denver. And is a champion!
I love all 17 players but itâs so nice these veterans finally get to celebrate!

That call still deeply bothers me. As fun as this is, there's a part of me that wants to be done with the NBA. I'm almost at a point where I could walk away from it and never come back, but I do love this team and I love the game. I just don't know how a group of officials can look at that replay and say it was a foul on us. I really do not believe in NBA/ref conspiracies. I do believe the league has swung extremely far on officiating in the paint vs. on the perimeter. There were a lot of sketchy non-calls on defenders against Jokic in the 2nd half. On that particular play, Butler swung his leg so far forward into Gordonâs groin, it is difficult to see how the officials can decide thatâs a natural shooing motion. The officials have already gotten mostly bashed about that call, so we have allies on this one. |

If he stays, great. But I'm honestly rooting for Bruce to get the fattest possible payday. He's a champion. He's a winner. He could sign with any team and that team could lose 60 games and it doesn't change his status as a winner one iota.
It will stink to lose him, but he proved what many of us have said for years. Playing with Jokic (and this culture) is where guys should be going to chase a ring or give themselves a bump in future earning power. Floor raising superstar and culture.
