I swear no other league studies refs as much as the nba does. They now have their own stats. When I was younger I never knew any refs nor cared.
The nba has done a terrible job with officiating.

I disagree. NBA refs are extremely professional (and are constantly graded and scrutinized) and there is a wide gulf in the quality of officiating between the NBA and any other basketball league or competition. And IMO, NBA officiating has never been less subjective. Officials in the NFL are only part-time employees. They are well compensated on a per game basis but don’t even get health insurance from the NFL. Many have other jobs and being an NFL official is a well paid “side hustle.” There is a much higher level of professionalism with NBA refs. I really don’t know why Nuggets fans persist in their paranoia about biased officiating and phantom league interference.

The nba has done a terrible job with officiating. 100% spot on but baseball it's pretty bad too. Baseball is still really bad but they've also cleaned up their act significantly since they started showing the strikezone box on all broadcasts. Accuracy from the umpires suddenly jumped from the low 80s into the 90s on ball/strike calls. And replay, while still flawed, has been implemented much better in baseball than it has in basketball. Hockey has the best ref situation of the big 4 sports by a lot. Then the NFL, which is still awful, then MLB, then the NBA bringing up the rear.

I mean probably because the bubble series was completely dictated by the officiating?

I’m optimistic about game 1 but sticking with my view that all is not lost if the Nuggets lose. As I wrote earlier in this thread, I think the Nuggets can win if its a short series or a long series. The series is going to require 4 wins and it hasn’t been that long since a Jokic/Murray version of the Nuggets twice came back from 3-1 deficits to win playoff series.
Unless and until proven otherwise, I’m sticking with my view that this series will get more favorable for the Nuggets the longer it goes. Game 3 is the 3rd game in 5 days and game 4 is the 4th game in a week and I have confidence this Nuggets team has the toughness to win this series the hard way if that’s what it will take. This postseason the Lakers have yet to play a team that has both size and quality in the paint and I think the Nuggets are ready, willing and able to avenge prior playoff series losses to the Lakers.
Bring it on.

So Fkn pumped for this! I wish I was in Denver right now.
Quietly confident and optimistic about this and want to prove all the doubters wrong.
What are the starting 5 defensive matchups? Does Joker take AD? MPJ try’s to stay with Reaves?

Does Joker take AD? MPJ try’s to stay with Reaves? If the Lakers start Vando: Joker on AD Gordon on LeBron MPJ on Vanderbilt KCP on Reaves Murray on Russell If the Lakers go small: Joker on AD Gordon on LeBron MPJ on Reaves KCP on Schroeder/Walker Murray on Russell
