The Suns have no answer for our forward tandem. One should pop in every game of the series. And ultimately, unless they find someone on the bench who can add something up front or just shoot crazy lights out, which they will at some point, they're going to lose. Bully ball in 6 I say.

To me this series comes down to whether the Nuggets can be the more physical team without fouling too much and letting the Suns get a lot of easy points at the free throw line.

If the Nuggets can win tonight I’ll be pretty optimistic about winning this series. Becomes an entirely different series if PHX ties it up.
Nuggets just need to keep playing physical and attacking the glass. PHX has no answer for it. Looking for a big Jokic/MPJ game tonight.

They need to go in at least as strong mentally as they did for game one. If so the only thing holding them back would be poor shooting and having AZ being in can't miss mode.

Move KD away from the rim, and the line to the basket is wider than a Kardashian snatch. Now that Suns are a midrange team, they cannot afford to lose the possession war against a better 3 point shooting team. If you watch the game tape, KD was often just resting there waiting to provide help d at the rim. AG made him pay by hitting wide open 3s - if he guards MPJ he has no choice to play out in the perimeter, allowing Joker and Murray to exploit the weak pick and roll defense of Ayton |

I just don't looking for big Jokic/MPJ game. everyone is saying how Murray killed Phoenix, which is true to a degree... complete true, Nuggets killed them. Phoenix was shooting ball 51%, better then Nuggets, and lose by 18. thats joined effort, everyone who played, played with purpose and passion. Murray was just first among equals. I fully expect Phoenix to show much more emergency in this one, but again, Nuggets are younger, faster, stronger and bigger. and who is going to bring intensity on their side? Booker and... who else? 78 years old CP3? he only talks now. Durant is not a leader. Craig have emotion level of dead cow and Ayton is even worse. |

The Suns won't always shoot as well as they did in game 1, either, though. They are a pull-up, mid-range shooting team primarily. They are going to have off shooting nights, especially against a team that has competent wing defense to throw at them.

Agreed not saying they can't win the series if they lose this game but it becomes much different. If the Nuggets go up 2-0 than they just need to split the series in PHX. I think it'll be a big advantage taking some pressure off. They'll be able to play pretty loose. Even if they lose both in PHX than your starting a brand new series. If you lose here tonight than you gotta win atleast 1 on the road. You can't lose both. If the Nuggets go up 2-0 tonight .. it would take something to go really wrong to lose this series or KD/Booker going nuclear. Which is certainly possible but I'd feel pretty optimistic we win the series and the possibility of getting some rest would also exist if we were able to win in 5/6. If we lose Nuggets can still win and I'll still be hopeful but room for mistakes certainly shrinks quite abit. You can lay an egg on the road with a win tonight. You can't with a L. |

Pumped for today. Have taken the day off work here in Australia to appreciate Nuggets playoff basketball.
Really hoping they come out with the same mentality they did game 1, along with a better performance from the Joker (for his standards) in this one.
