Honestly will be awesome if Malone's obsession with defense is what saves his job. This team buying into defense so far in the playoffs has been incredible. Just insane defense in that 4th quarter/all game.
Also grabbing a W with Murray/MPJ shooting like that is gigantic. Credit to PHX for how they defended them and we all know Murray lives off tough shots .. but both guys missed some open looks. Just off memory I'm going to say Murray bricked atleast 2-3 GREAT looks from 3.

that defensive switch in the 4th was a thing of beauty. Booth deserves a raise. Amen! The guy got defense in the draft and free agency that Tim was completely inept at doing. KCP, Brown, and Braun completely changed the defensive tone of this team as a game like this in the past was an automatic loss. |

Every button he's pushing is the right one. He closes with Bruce over MPJ there and Bruce has incredible defensive possessions and rebounds in the last 5 minutes. That man is trying to earn another extension and so far he has more than earned it. Jobs not finished. |

Especially given the length CB gives up.. that's what makes it crazy. I would have bet before the playoffs that Malone would have got cold feet and wouldn't have done that. Watson is an unrealistic ask at this point IMO but CB on Durant is even a little crazy so shout out him for doing that. |
