Have KAT guard Jokic and have Gobert as the rotating big at the rim? A la the 76ers with Embiid rotating the rim I mean, what did they expect him to say? "We have no idea what to do about Jokic, we have no plan, please send help !" |

when have the Nuggets ever established dominance out of the gate? even against teams led by Derrick White and Demar Derozan lol.
like I said, calm if we don't look like champions during G1. it's the character of this team to ball out only after their backs are against the wall.

There's not a single player on the Wolves who can guard Jokic. If Jokic gets shutdown he's done it to himself. Jokic is the franchise GOAT and one of the best players in history and he has basically no excuses this series not to ball out. Gobert has the same defensive struggles Jokic does in the playoffs, Towns is trash defensively .. and I mean Kyle Anderson? Love the player but if the Wolves do try that against the 2x MVP than that should be something that Denver is excited about.
Honestly the Wolves while talented aren't even a bad matchup defensively for Jokic. It's not like the Suns/GS where there going to put him in space all day and if they do than Jokic can hit them right back but worse because they'll have KAT/Gobert on the floor lol

I wonder about throwing AG on Edwards and having MPJ on KAT. Think it's a bad idea because KAT will just get on the block and foul MPJ out. He's too strong for MPJ. Christian Braun is the best matchup for Ant. Malone is going to put Bruce on him though and he's going to get obliterated. |

That was their first ever playoff game. This group should be mature enough to obliterate Minnesota tonight. They just took the last month of the season off. If this series goes 6+, the Nuggets are most likely not making the finals. Basically all NBA Champions win at least one series in 5 games or less. |

Malone is never going to take AG off the floor because he defends. The thing that makes this a tough matchup is that AG has to guard Towns which allows the Wolves to only guard 4 guys defensively. The paint will be clogged up and will have 2 7 footers in it. Jokic has to do some work from the perimeter in this series. The pick and pop will be there. If he starts draining 3s, he'll be able to beat Rudy off the dribble with his head fakes and that'll break the Wolves defense. |

Heat are also historically a tough matchup for Milwaukee. Playoff Butler is a killer and Herro/Strus/Bam are a really tough trio to guard. |

Gordon isn't coming off the floor because he's our 16/6/3 starter who's making almost 20 mill a season and were the 1 seed. What's the point if your back to back MVP and franchise GOAT can't co exist with the guy your paying 20 mill against a team like Minny who almost imploded? Jokic shoots over 50% from 10-16 feet and 16ft to the 3 point line the past 3 seasons. I dunno. If he can't hit perimeter shots and "do work" against the Wolves than I guess it'll be what it'll be. Jokic just needs to figure out a way to expose a lineup with two bigs .. one of which who's worse than him defensively. Wolves don't even have McDaniels either. For me there's really no excuses or narratives that need to be created for this series. Nuggets should beat the Wolves as is as long as everyone plays up to there expectations. No need to dive to deep into this one .. Jokic can dominate this series if he wants. |
