for the min, sure.
but he wont take that.
its just a waste to spend a lot on backup centers. especially in todays nba where the center position just isnt that important.

for the min, sure. but he wont take that. its just a waste to spend a lot on backup centers. especially in todays nba where the center position just isnt that important. Montrezl Harrell would like a word. tbf, he averaged 28 minutes/game this past season, although he only started 2 games. But he's great. It also definitely helps your team to have Serge Ibaka as your backup center. It certainly helped the Raptors win the title last year. But it's a bit different with the Nuggets, since their best player is a center. Plumlee is a polarizing player and his weaknesses (including his sky high foul rate) are really noticeable. But he's been a consistently positive player if advanced stats are to be believed (this season: .162 WS/48, 2.2 BPM, 0.08 RPM). At this point, he's arguably more valuable on a younger team that has more need for his strong floor game and good veteran character.

I think people run into this mistake of thinking that your best 3 players are what win championships, *or* your depth. Reality is, the teams that have won championships recently have had a really good top 2, 3, or 4 players *and* decent-enough depth. If you have big holes in your lineup, the opposing team is gonna put Rodney Freaking Hood out there and you won't be able to defend him ... or the opposing team is gonna put Boban out there and P&R you constantly and either generate wide-open corner threes or dunks ... or the opposing team is gonna constantly double-team your best player and dare Torrey Craig to shoot.
I think Noah Vonleh is a serviceable backup C for a playoff team ... maybe ... but he's a step down from Plumlee. If you can use the Plumlee money to get a Bradley Beal type upgrade at a starting position, yeah, do that. You get better overall. But don't just drop a fairly effective backup without looking for an upgrade elsewhere.

Millsap as the backup 5 looked like the best bench in the league, I'd like to explore that avenue. The only real struggle was against the Lakers, and Howard kind of had a one off game and will only get worse with age.

That article is written completely from the raptors perspective- only why itâs a good deal for them and their future.
Doesnât matter what it means for Denver according to them

Found the bleacher report âarticleâ It starts with this disclaimer:
Problem is we have the worst GM in the league. Who knows what he would do?

I dont know rock, i randomly bumped into it. I guess it's just the random websites are trying to earn some $ in these tough times by throwing out some stories. It's just that my blood pressure instantly goes sky high when i read some BS like that...

Same
But itâs so odd that bleacher report admittedly makes up trade rumors and this inquisitor site is so lazy that they donât make up their own
They just report bleacher reportâs made up deals?
I canât wait for nba insiderzzz.com reporting that user nbafannumber1 has learned that inquisitor has heard from bleacher report that some guy in his parents basement thinks kuzma for jokic would be âpretty cool trade I guessâ

That article appears to be such B.S. on so many levels. Since Grant is going to opt out and be a free agent, he can't be traded, which just adds to the obviously worthless quality of the whole thing.

People are bored during this non-season (the season never technically ended, and the off-season hasnât technically begun, hence my new term).
So, s**t is made up on some random websites as clickbait, and bored fans need to post the links and discuss the outrageousness. Such is life during Covid cabin fever!

Inquistr is one of the worst rumor sites out there.
Murray also loves Denver and is the perfect pg for jokic. Donât put stock into that silly article.
