Nugs are better off letting Plumlee walk and having Uncle Paul play backup 5. I'm buying - Plumlee is good at what he does but what he does is not good. Nugs looked better when the 5 on the floor could shoot. Millsap likes playing the 5 and is good at in the year 2020.
Losing Plumlee is addition by subtraction, buy or sell?

Backup center isn’t a huge deal anyways Pick up some guy for like 3 million and use the money elsewhere. We also have noah vonleh we can bring back for front court depth. We just have too many other holes to spend starter money on a backup center who can’t shoot.

What we really need to do is strengthen our top 6-7 rotation guys.
Tryjng to be 10 deep. Just. Doesn’t. Work.

It does work but ours just isn't very good. Basically most our players have deficiencies that are so flawed that they can only play in certain lineups.
The best teams win games with star players resting/load managing now. We are doomed when Jokic goes to the bench

We just have too many other holes to spend starter money on a backup center who can’t shoot. We don't know that Plumlee's market value will be more than $3 mil. Nobody thinks they'll need to pay starter money for a backup center, whether it's Plumlee or someone else. I don't buy the idea of carrying no backup center bigger than Millsap. It works fine against some teams, but other teams are big and if the Nuggets are too small, teams will game plan to attack the basket for offensive rebounds and buckets. I'm fine with not spending a ton of money for a backup center, but I think the team needs at least one who is bigger than Millsap. I'd love to add more rim protection in the form of guys like Noel or Biyombo. Maybe the team thinks Vonleh is a good choice -- I don't know but they've scouted him and have more information. I'm pretty sure they'll carry a backup center and won't just rely on Millsap or Grant for that.

Excellent teams like the Clippers and Bucks have had more quality depth than the Nuggets the last couple of seasons. Popovich has long used his bench extensively, including in years they won a championship.

If that's our main problem, we basically have no problem since it is so easily solved. Mozgov hasn't been any good at the NBA level for at least 3 years, so I'd say there are probably better solutions. There are lots of UFA centers, and few if any will get big contracts: www.spotrac.com/nba/free-agents/center/

Resigning Uncle Paul and letting Plumlee go would be close to perfect solution if Grant decides to stay. Jokic and those 2 are more then good enough to carry a team. We need one more big though. Is it going to be Bol Bol or Vonleh or someone else, dont really care as long as he is cheep. Murray, Harris and Barton as starting backcourt, Morris as second PG and ofc MPJ as 3 or 4. I would get him off bench as 6th, but I dont mind if he starts. Everything is good as long as he plays 25+ mins. If we have all this, and enough money to sign one long defender, I'd be more then happy. I really like the idea of small ball with Morris, Barton, MPJ, Grant and Millsap. Or even get MPJ on 4, either Grant/Millsap on 5 and maybe KDB on 3. Whatever we do, we need to have some identity when Jokic is resting. Also, I really, really... I mean REALLY expect to see Murray and Jokic at their best next season. They are 23/25, will be 24/26 next season, so its time

Keep dreaming Malone not getting fired anytime soon, but Malone should be playing mpj 25 min with a bad ankle afer the all star break.
I wish we could have seen what Morris would have done in the playoffs, still avg pg look at the stats,, I rather have a tall pg like pj

While sheltered in place, I saw the Nuggets beat the Cavs in OT on NBA TV. Condensed game format, from Feb. 18th, 2010. Melo scored 40 points.
Funny how I don’t remember that game. I’m sure I watched it on live TV. Must be getting old.

Plum isn’t good. I wouldn’t sign him to the minimum, honestly.
