BTW, I have met Trump and asked him probing questions from across a conference room table just over 20 years ago. I found him then, as I find him now, completely lacking in depth, substance, and character. Honestly, who cares? He did a fantastic job as president from 2016-2020. My life (and millions of Americans) was better under President Trump than currently under President Biden/VP Harris. Its crystal clear to me and just common sense. As I have mentioned before I am independent who has traditionally voted Democrat in the past. Among the two candidates: Trump and Kamala -- Trump is the easy choice by a mile. Easily the least informed and singularly embarrassing post I've ever seen on here. I guess maybe I'm just new. |

Sigh. My son almost died from vaccine injuries - vaccines that were mandated specifically by Democratic officials. This is in addition the recent (and quixotic) Democrat embrace of Dick Cheney - the man who brought us the Patriot Act, the surveillance state and multiple forever wars - as well as Democrat officials openly calling for the First Amendment to be scaled back (govt censorship). On the other hand - MAGA has actually given political safe-harbor to the valiant activists who have pointed out that the CDC has zero safety-study data on any of the vaccines it recommends - this is in addition to calls to end the Patriot Act, stop surveillance activities, and of course, uphold the First Amendment. Uncle, I love you - but please spare me the Hitler comparisons. There's one major political entity in this country that truly respects personal choice and liberty, and that's the MAGA movement. You don't know a god damn thing about vaccines. Just shut the hell up and get a life, holy crap. Are you saying that my son wasn't injured by vaccines? And his injuries are all in my head? |

Every few hours, he would dive to the floor and start banging his head against the ground as hard as he could - likely in response to the periodic brain inflammation he was feeling. My wife and I constantly took turns diving onto the floor with him and shielding his head every time these episodes happened. His good mood also diminished. Fortunately - time has helped heal things - although we have spent hundreds of thousands on therapy. My boy's vocabulary has been behind his peers for quite a few years now - but now he's catching up and I'm deeply proud of him. Thankfully, he also stopped banging his head against the ground - that sequence lasted for about a good six months. We had no clue how this could have happened? Then it occurred to my wife and I - all of these things took place shortly after a major round of vaccines at the pediatrician's office. Every vaccine contains heavy metals of some kind, many including aluminum, mercury, chromium - multiple ingredients that will have no benefit to the immune system (and actually cause catastrophic allergic reaction in many cases). If you don't believe me, I would recommend checking out RFK Jr's website "children health defense" that outlines the many VAERS cases that have been proven right in court, as well as some of the settlements that have been paid out. I'm bringing the point up because we live in a society where one faction (liberals, Democratic Party, govt agencies) openly encourages and incites bullying against people who are critical of vaccines - Fami is an example of that. However - that same faction now also accuses the one political entity, that has given me and my family safe-harbor, of being a fascist organization - the idea that this entity (MAGA) is somehow going to round people up and eliminate them? When the reality is - this is the movement that stood up to the faction that is openly encouraging bullying against me, all because I'm simply critical of vaccines? There is a fascist movement in our country - its not MAGA - it is the Democratic Party, the liberals, and those who support government authority. As I already said - Please spare me the accusations that Trump is Hitler. Trump is the only standing in the way of the faction that literally wants to rob us of free choice. |

No but there are many things that the Democrats have done that have hurt the country as well. The way that they have handled the border and illegal immigration in general has hurt the country and the economy. The foreign aid given to Ukraine is a tough look considering how shitty the US economy is perceived to be and how many Americans are struggling financially. Both parties are atrociously bad and do not care about a majority of Americans. That's my problem with the 2 party system. It's like picking between a murderer and a bank robber (I know, crazy analogy) Sure a bank robber isn't as bad as a murderer but they're both scumbag criminals. That's what I see when I think about modern politics. 2 extremely corrupt sides that will say whatever they can to get votes, that enact a few pieces of legislature that benefit the country every once in a while but turn their heads at the real issues that are plaguing this country and it's people. Makes me sick and all they've done is divide the country which again is a major issue with a 2 party system. Black or White. No gray allowed. |

Whereas Republicans have JD Vance, Tulsi Gabbard, Vivek Ramaswamy. Ring, I agree with your previous post -- hopefully the two-party monopoly will be gone. I hope so. Its high-level corruption that Americans can only vote for a Democrat or Republican for President. All that being said, I do like Trump, and I genuinely believe he wants the best for America and American people. For example, I voted for Trump but did not vote for any other Republicans (or Democrats yuck) but 3rd party candidates for Senate/Congress/etc. |

Democrats are human and make mistakes on policy (though IMO immigration is over demagogued as bipartisan bills have been killed by GOP in both 2013 and 2024), but what Trump proposes is an existential threat to our Republic. Not even close to an equivalency between the two parties right now. And GOP is also human and make policy errors. One is a fascist authoritarian cult, the other a conventional (even boring) political party. Murderer to bank robber analogy understates the threat. Better one would be serial killer a-la Hannibal Lechter (hmm, where have I heard that) to a white collar criminal such as insider trader (which literally happens in Congress). Add in Elon Musk, who WSJ just reported has been in constant contact with Vladimir Putin since 2022, and you know we are getting played by some evil billionaires as well. |
