You can say im overreacting. You are. 3 of those people left comments in August. The remaining comments: the burner bumped the thread 3 times (September 1, 7, and 27), I criticized him, jimi said to lock the thread, and you said to keep the thread. That's not an active thread. There's no on-topic traction right now. There might be good reason to have a thread criticizing Booth, but not to keep randomly bumping it when there wasn't anything to discuss. So I locked it with the hope that the burner account learns to act better. You can sit here and say it's a power trip or whatever, but other mods aren't either publicly or privately telling me I made the wrong call (not this time or with other mod decisions I have taken -- most of which are based on reports and have input from multiple mods to begin with.) It's basically you and a couple other people who have a personal problem with me because, when I had a newborn and was largely inactive as a mod, other mods didn't delete insults directed at you, and you perceive me as the face of the mod team. So you find fault with everything I do and everything I don't do and turn it into an attack on my character. Don't act surprised when I find that uncompelling.

Lothar, I advise you not to take the bait being laid out for you. I’ve made that mistake, and he thrives on keeping it going. He’s a keyboard thug and bully.

A body language expert analyzes Kamala. Its baffling to me there are Americans out there who would actually vote for her

Body language analysis is not science, it's bunk.

It's always hilarious to me seeing Trump supporters critique anyone else. Even when there is a valid point to be made, the same thing will always apply to Trump as well (and usually even more so). The dude is literally the dumbest, most corrupt person to ever run for office. Peddling $100 digital trading cards, gold shoes, action figures, personalized bibles, crypto, and a million other money grabbing garbage to his retarded followers. It's absolutely baffling to me how dumb people can be to fall for his s**t...and yet here we are. He makes this country an embarrassment on the world stage.

That sucks big time. It was bad that his Nuggets career didn’t last longer and obviously, this is much worse.

I was at Pepsi Center several years ago when Deke was honored, He was walking around the main concourse before the game, walking right past me. I put up my hand and he gave me a high five. That’s the last memory I have of Mutombo, a fine basketball player, but by all accounts, a better human being, RIP.

I loved Deke !! Mutombo-on-Floor is the All-Time greatest moment in Nuggets basketball history.

I was at one of the playoff games in 1994, against Utah after we upset Seattle. Was that when they handed out the signs that said “Mt. Mutombo. Elevation 5,287 feet”? I got one of those signs and think I never threw it away. Must be stored somewhere in a pile of stuff in my house. Time to start rummaging through things!

Pete Rose, never admitted to Baseball’s Hall of Fame due to gambling on the sport, died today at age 83. He is still the all time hits leader in MLB history, known as “Charlie Hustle”.
Rose was not the human being that Dikembe Mutombo was.

This is funniest bit yet, and so accurate!… youtu.be/HX-5jmQplIo?si=vOjYhfjeYJfSN3hdAnd then read this… "Rudy Giuliani’s daughter backs Harris and grieves ‘loss of my dad to Trump’ ...“I am constantly asking myself how America is back here, even considering the possibility of electing Donald Trump again, after all of the damage he has caused, both in office and since. There are unmistakable reminders of Trump’s destructive trail all around us, and it has broken my heart to watch my dad become one of them.” ...He was permanently disbarred from practicing law in Washington DC last week for leading the legal effort to overturn Joe Biden’s victory, and attempted to declare bankruptcy to avoid paying $148.1m in damages to two Georgia election workers he defamed. “Watching my dad’s life crumble since he joined forces with Trump has been extraordinarily painful, both on a personal level and because his demise feels linked to a dark force that threatens to once again consume America,” Caroline Giuliani wrote, referring to Trump’s third presidential election as the Republican nominee."” www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/sep/30/rudy-giuliani-daughter-supports-harris

Then there are the convictions and prison time for Trump Org loyalists Michael Cohen and Allen Weisselberg. Casting one’s lot in life with Trump has been a bad bet for quite a few people.
