Random NBA thoughts: When is someone else going to say it? Tony Brothers is not our enemy. Several years ago? Yes. Now? No. Random Thought: The NBA helped us tremendously by fining Jamal instead of suspending him. The fine was huge, even for him. Ten times more than the former president of the United States paid for far more serious crimes. Or they could suspend him. "Hurts" the player. Doesn't hurt the team. Helps it, in fact. Perhaps we'ved inched our way up from the bottom of the league in respect. Or, it could all come crashing down, with commentary of renewed subterfuge. All good thoughts. We definitely got a better whistle last night, and a fair whistle. Brothers feuded with Jokic for years, now they seem fine with each other. Of course, we don’t win last night without Murray, and without Murray being Murray. And because Murray is Murray and has a playoff resume to respect, the league office didn’t suspend him. If that had been Peyton Watson or Christian Braun throwing the heat pad, it’s a definite one game suspension. Murray, and we as a team, received benevolent treatment (as defending champs should)!

It is nice of the NBA to keep the game on the court, but even if he got suspended it would have been justified. Just an awful behavior and most importantly a very risky one.

Jamal didn't get suspended because he has no record of on-court improprieties and if you don't believe in coincidences, the fairer whistle the Nuggets received (on the road, no less) was a tacit admission Jamal's frustration had some merit.

No way they could justify suspending Jamal for that after letting Embiid off the hook for intentionally injuring Robinson and being a worse repeat offender than Draymond.

Both were deserving of a suspension.

Both were deserving of a suspension. If both were suspended that would be fine. But once you establish that going out of your way to try to injure people isn't worthy of a suspension you can't very well suspend a guy for throwing a heat pack a couple weeks later. The officiating across the whole season both regular and playoffs this year has been pathetic even by NBA standards and they needed to get a hold of things long before this point.

Hawks move from 10th to the #1 pick in the draft. Second highest jump in the history of the lottery and the first time Atlanta has ever won it. But kinda funny that it ends up being in one of the worst drafts ever with no obvious #1 prospect. That's something you'd expect to happen for the Nuggets.

Wow that s**t at the end was dirty. Dude gets pushed from behind and then takes a cross check to the throat. Vancouver dude should be suspended for that.

it was even more brutal in real time.
I'm more upset no Oiler stood up for McDavid. this isn't the NBA, I'm not going to cry incessantly for the remainder of the playoffs is Zad doesn't get suspended.
imagine if he threw a heatpack instead. the horror.

Valeri Nichushkin is back in the NHL Player Assistance Program for the third time, which means he is automatically suspended 6 months without pay and must apply for reinstatement to get back into the league at all.
What a freaking disaster.

No Toews either tonight and his replacement took multiple penalties.
Garbage performance all around.

No Toews either tonight and his replacement took multiple penalties. Garbage performance all around. Still so random that Popeye Jones' son plays for the Avs. Less cool after his performance tonight.
