No thoughts yet? I believe Vicki's husband Russ was a forum member here among other forums.

I'm usually better at finding things on this forum, which doesn't default to oldest read like many do.
This was my response on another forum.
Needless to say, I probably know Vicki better than any forum member, here or at Rock's place, all before the Joker era. Without knowing any facts involving the banning, it would be my opinion she and security and players, staff, FO all stretched the rules, formal and informal, for so long she thought she could do these minor transgressions forever and somebody decided they didn't like it so they decided it was over.
Every game I attended I would go visit and hang with them. She high-fived all players, cops, refs, security, coaches, cheerleaders, etc several times a game. Some were happy to do it and some were obviously annoyed.
IMO, this is more likely a case where one player or coach (or ref) was annoyed and said "Enough is enough" and that's more why she's done than NBA rules. As I've said before, every home game she greets the player as they come and go from the arena.
Any speculation as to players or coaches who would enjoy the rituals and who wouldn't?

Avs crawled out of a 4-0 hole with 5 straight goals to get the W today. That's 9 in a row.

Truth is, I never talked much with Vicki. She was really only into her signs, the high-fives, and a few of the people sitting around her. Russ did all the talking, and he was a friendly guy. Dealing with Vicki, positive and/or negative, was a part of everyone's job, like it or not, from Day One of their employment. My opinion was that it was a 50/50 willingness. About half enjoyed the interplay, and among those who didn't, some ignored her while raising their hands to be high-fived and others grimaced, as if in pain. From the first day any of us had ever heard of them, Vicki was front and center with her signs, as if out of nowhere. I wonder if she'll remain a Nuggets fan, or if this move by the Nuggets will essentially be a divorce, with Vicki pulling up stakes in Denver, moving to a new city to be a "super-fan" of a new team, with her rituals picking up where she left off here. I'm not a betting man, but I'd put money on the latter.
By the way, the old-time forum member was initially only annoyed with them, but it became full-fledged hatred when Russ came to this (or another? Rock's?) forum to brag how he and Vicki had been flown to Dallas by Mark Cuban and sat with him in the owner's box. I remember the post as being over-the-top, but as life requires, it was in one ear and out the other for me, but for this poster it was his personal final straw.
(to be fair, the same poster gave me lots of high quality FREE tickets to Nuggets game. He was furious with me for not booing when Nick Van Exel played his last game by forcing his way out, and baited the crowd to be louder when they started booing. (We were in the second row at the time. I always liked Nick and could understand his frustration.
Needless to say, I too wish Vicki all the best. She was (is still?) a true Nuggets super-fan.

TNF, remember when Vicki was at the season ticket holder luncheon we attended in 2015? She asked TC a question, though I can’t recall what it was. But she seemed like a real fan, not a narcissist to be noticed in the arena. So, I doubt she will end her Nuggets fandom and move to another city, plus she has to be close to our age if not older. She did seem like a bit of a “character”. Which could ingratiate or annoy certain people.

I think she's 72.
When I went to the closed to the public Issel training camp, Vicki and Russ were the only others there. Issel introduced Vicki to the team as "Our Number One Fan"
It must hurt her after all the years of dedication. I would be pissed off. Who knows the specifics that got her removed.

IMO, this is more likely a case where one player or coach (or ref) was annoyed and said "Enough is enough" and that's more why she's done than NBA rules. I suspect someone (likely a ref) raised a stink about a particular behavior, and the team was like "hey you need to tone this one thing down" and she just decided not to tone it down, and everything else is fallout. It wouldn't be a ban over a rules violation without probably several attempts to be like "no really we mean it, you have to stop this thing."

She was front and center at every game, for better or worse. The story said her signs had been banned earlier, and Vicki is feisty, so that probably wasn't taken well, among other possibilities. To many casuals, Vicki came after only Rocky for entertainment value.

I feel bad for Vicki, but agree with what everyone else said.
The Nuggets are now a championship team. The 'casual' atmosphere of being a bottom-dwelling team is now gone.

Bought my nephew a pack of Nuggets trading cards and he loves them, but he noticed right away that the pack doesn't have the whole squad. Missing Justin Holiday, Reggie Jackson, Zeke Nnaji, Vlatko Cancar, Collin Gillespie, Braxton Key, and Jay Huff.
Checked around online and Reggie, Vlatko, Zeke, and Gillespie cards exist from last season but they're pricey while there simply aren't any Nuggets Holiday, Key, or Huff cards as far as I can tell.
So that's a bit of a bummer. Hilarious that he's only 8 and he knows the entire roster by heart, including Vlatko who hasn't played a game this year.

Did Vicki Ray really did something really bad and repeated it or is she getting banned from Ball Arena just a BS? Does anyone know details behind this story?

Jontay Porter is under investigation by the NBA for betting related stuff. Starting to wonder how common this type of thing is, both in terms of just coincidence where it looks fishy but there's nothing there vs people actually doing it. I could easily see how this kind of thing could happen without nefarious intentions. But then again, greed knows no bounds and it's inevitable that someone's going to do it sooner or later.
