Free Throws is what we need to work on but there are so many other things.

I don't think freethrows will be a problem for at least a few games because we have a win under our belts and we'll be at home.

It would be nice to see Denver blow them out in game 3. Put some doubt in the Lakers minds.

This win feels better than any I can remember as a Nuggets fan. Better than Nuggets over Sonics in '94. Better than clinching vs. Hornets or Mavs, better than the 58pt win vs. the Hornets. Better than the triple overtime win vs. the Suns a few seasons ago when Melo had tissue hanging out of his nose. I don't even feel like I need to get drunk, and that's saying quite a bit. This series is right there for the Nuggets to take if they want it.

hate to be a debbie downer on the situation but doesn't anyone else think that was a lane violation during that jump ball at the end of the game... that shoulf have been lakers ball with 18 seconds left. and also alot calls went in favor of us... hopefully the lakers continue to play poorly on the road so we can go up 3-1 I agree with the lane violation, but many calls went in favor of us? I can remember at least 2 horrible calls on Nene.

Before I forget, I would like to thank our coach for rallying our players and telling them not to fold under pressure during the final minute of the game...
THANK YOU COACH CHAUNCEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A solid game 3 victory by the Nuggets would do wonders for the Lakers' fragile psyche.

LOL @ Yahoo game recap: "Carmelo Anthony(notes) had 34 points and 14 rebounds, Billups had 27 points and 16 rebounds and Linas Kleiza(notes) added 16 points for the Nuggets. Nene finished with six points, nine rebounds and six assists." Where did Melo and CB get that many rebounds? If they had done that, we would have won by 30 points!

It would be nice to see Denver blow them out in game 3. Put some doubt in the Lakers minds. I think we've already put some doubt in their minds. They still have the mindset of being the best road team in the league, which they have been, so if the Nuggets could lay it on them in a big way in game 3, I think they might start second guessing themselves. Kobe already likes to point fingers when they lose.

It's interesting that LK stepped up while JR and Birdman have sort of regressed this series. I hope they start to pull it together, especially JR...

Kobe already likes to point fingers when they lose. I don't see anything that resembles that sort of confidence in the Lakers on the road. If we attack relentlessly against them it will turn into a Kobe unraveling show eventually. I was railed on this board a month or two ago for bablling about the Laker psyche-- well it's pretty clear who the tougher minded team is. The Lakers have the toughest minded player to a point-- but if we continue to punish them-- he will break as well.

The great thing about this whole deal is that we still have JR in the back-pocket. I tghink he can get rolling and I think we will blow the Lakers out at least once in these two games.

I just hope GK doesn't f*ck it up. I actually got seriously angry when he took out Billups and Anthony just as we started to control the game and open up a lead.

Guys I'm very proud of the Nuggets... they fought through brutal brutal calls early in the game and just fought through it.
I honestly think this is what the refs want to see. They want to see if we are calm, composed because refs tend to "favor" teams that are calm and composed.
And to our credit, instead of bitching about calls, we raised our hands up everytime a call was made against us early in the game. We had every reason to fold yet we didn't. Against a supposedly superior team on their homecourt, a first round team would have been down by 20 pts in our place against the Lakers in LA... but we just kept fighting... and forget about the refs. It seems someone tells our bench, "forget about the refs, we can't change them, we can't change the calls made... if they call against us, so be it, we have to fight through it, and just play, keep fighting, keep fighting"
How about this for adversity, Shane Battier?
We pocketed a win from adversity, now the young players know how to deal with it better later in the series because they went through it and there's a result: a W.
Absolutely loved Kleiza, he was a big reason why we were in it and kept fighting. It seemed like he was playing without any nervousness, maybe he had nothing to lose, but maybe we needed that. I expect more minutes for him the rest of playoffs...
I'm concerned about KMart not focused (fumbling the ball) and J.R. not in it, instead of playing better. But they will rebound from this, after all we're going back to Denver.
Laker fans are saying now they're the best road team in the reg season, but they took care of the ball (13 TO) in LA and still lost? I don't expect them to commit only 13- 15 TO a game in Denver, it's going to be a lot more and our execution is going to be a lot better in Denver too. Talk about putting too much energy and focus to get this Game 2 win, but we have to be ready come Game 3.
