Chauncey played 41 minutes. So AC should have played 7. I hate them on the floor together. Our bench in general lost this game tonight, 16 bench points all by two players and getting whooped on boards and we still lost by two, so as long as we get the next game we should be ok.

So you have no problem with an undersized PG inbounding the ball in the most critical moment of the game when the other team is already way bigger than you? K... Not sure what size has to do with that. AC is normally a pretty good passer. It was a bonehead move though. Who else should have made the pass?

Ok coach, what should have happened? (btw I'm not defending AC's stupid pass, I'm just curious what other experts here would have run.)

Man, I'm not particularly all that upset that we lost, but I am just disheartened because I thought we played outstanding. I just don't know if we can match that same type of efficiency from Melo. K mart, I thought, played a great offensive game. Nene was his usual self. I mean, we got some of the best games out of our best players, and we still lost. I just have this disheartening feeling that we just can't beat these guys. Kobe just fucks our entire defense up. He gets the ball, and everything is thrown out the window. Leaving fisher open for 3. Leaving Ariza open for 3. I just don't think we have the skillset at the 2 position to stop this teams motor.
I know Chauncey, JR, and Bird all had pretty bad offensive nights, but I think Melo negates all of those statlines with his outstanding game.
This just disheartens me. I thought we played one of our best possible games, and we still lost. That just sucks as a fan. I hope we can expect the same from Melo, and get Chauncey, JR, and Bird goin, but I'm a bit skeptical that that can happen. It just sucks.
Not to be all negative fellas. I loved our play tonight. I just think it may not be enough against this team.
One thing Karl needs to do is figure out who he wants on Kobe. Put Melo on him for all I care. AC got burned last year, and he still gets the assignment this year. I just don't understand that. I thought Dahntay did fine against Kobe. I would have liked to see him out there instead of AC on those possessions. I also still believe that JR needs to go on Kobe in the closing minutes. We may not be able to stop Kobe, but we sure as hell can keep up if JR is playing well. He didn't have his best night, but I think he can get the job done. Hopefully his knee isn't all that bad.
Loved the game guys. I am so proud of our team. I said to my friends that I just can believe that our team is actually playing this good. It is really something special to see.
Hopefully we can translate our play tonight into thursday, and get the win that we deserve. Until then, I will be skeptical and depressed LOL

When you do the highlights, if you can stomach them, check to see if they did score it a three. I just checked it. They did give us the 3.

A short point guard doesnt stand a big chance passing over lamar odom. When AC saw that he should have called it and gotten bird or Kmart to inbound it. Instead he tried to force it where there obviously wasnt a play. Size had everything to do with how that play went down

AC should have faked the pass to get Ariza to bite, but other than that I don't see how it was his fault.

The Lakers are one of the most talented teams the league has ever seen. And winning championships, sometimes the team that has been there makes the plays in the final few minutes.

In a game where we played our best ball against LA and still lost, I can't feel real confident. Just like you guys are saying such and such didn't play good, neither did Gasol or any of their other players. Everyone basically played bad and it came down to Kobe and Carmelo. Lakers won because Carmelo didn't get the ball. That's as simple as it is. We can't expect Gasol to play that bad again. We can't expect Carmelo to be that efficient again. We can't expect Kobe to shoot that bad again. We can't expect JR to play that bad again. And most importantly, we can't expect to outshoot them from the line again, especially with the Kobe/Lebron finals being so close. This was our best chance for a win and we blew it. The refs even let us play physical as hell and we still lost. This game showed me that we can compete with them. But like I've always said, when JR is in with Carmelo, Carmelo gets frozen out. We can expect that every game because it happens every time they're in together. But hey, what do I know. I'm just a Melo homer.
