For the hornets to win game 2, they need a lot of things to happen differently than game 1. Here are a few keys to victory for the Hornets:
- Get up early - In game 1, the Nuggets gave the Hornets every opportunity to get an early lead with the turnovers and Melo missing some easy shots. The Hornets came out flat and did not take advantage of the situation.
- Interior Defense has to step it up - This has been a major weak point for the Hornets all year. With Chandler not 100%, Armstrong, Ely or Marks has to step up and play solid defense
- Peja has to get on - He has not been hitting on his shots lately. Paul is banged up and West is still hurt. Peja has got to step up as a third scoring threat.
- Slow down Billups - Billups was unstoppable in game 1. The hornets should double team him off of ball screens to ensure he gives up the ball.
Keys for the Nuggets:
- Feed the hot hand - Melo didnt have a great game in game 1, but he understood that Billups was on. Whether it is billups, melo, smith, etc..they need to keep feeding the hot hand.
- Attack Chandler - Chandler is clearly not 100%. Feed the ball to Nene and have him make Chandler stop him. If Chandler picks up a couple of easy fouls, then Nene should have a field day.
- Switch up looks against the pick and roll - If you defend the pick and roll the same way every time, Paul will kill you with his floaters and great passing. Sometimes you need to switch, sometimes hedge, sometimes double Paul, etc...Switch up the defensive looks so Paul doesnt know whats coming

And while I realize your sn is an ode to a sandwich, most of the folks in your neck of the woods are 'po', and most of them got fucked over hard by the last administration. So the fact that you're hanging out in a swamp rocking in your chair toting a shotgun at this point in the country's timeline is pretty sad. |
