Not new... Been around, I believe, for two years. Got referred here through a broncos web site. http://www.broncosfreak.com...not really a forum site anymore...disbanded. Some of us came back on this past season at www.broncosfreaks.com, and most of us are www.broncosforums.com, but I digress. If you're a Broncos fan, I suggest either site, tell them MissouriBronc sent you. I'm a staple. Haven't posted a lot around here because I'm, obviously, in Missouri, and don't get to see a lot of games. I finally broke down and bought the online League Pass as I really don't want to get DirecTV at this time. Grew up in Loveland and have been a lifelong Nuggets fan. My favorite Nugget is/was Michael Adams. I'm a little dude, so I always respected the man. Fat Lever No. 2. LaPhonso Ellis No. 3. Anyways...glad to be here. I find this one of the best boards I've ever found. A poster by the name of JSteve referred me here. I forget what his handle is over here. |

Hey everybody. Some of you may know me from realgm.com (same name both places). Im from ohio, am a freshman at ohio state and am studying broadcast journalism to be a sports reporter, one day ill be at ESPN. I bleed scarlet and gray. GO BUCKS!!! I also am a lifelong fan of the Raiders and Orioles. I was a jordan fan when really little, just bc my dad was, then i was a magic then lakers fan bc i was a shaq fan. when i got a lil older (12/13) and was really getting into sports for the first time, i heard of a kid named carmelo anthony after i watched a game of his when he was at oak hill. i am a north carolina fan, but closely followed melo at syracuse and on his way to the natl championship, eventually becoming a huge melo fan and idolizing him beyond belief haha. So ever since then I have been a melo fan and at first i just liked him and wasnt really a nuggets fan, but as time went on i became a true nuggets fan on top of that, if they lose i feel like crap and hate it like a true fan would if you catch my drift. Being a nuggets fan, which i have gotten crap for bc i live in lebron country, is something that a whole lot of people cant say, but im proud to say i am one. while i know i would eventually become a fan of whatever team melo went to if traded or he leaves (which i hope niether ever happens knock on wood), it would be very difficult to still not like the rich creamies, but i have a feeling ill be a nuggets fan for life. PS Dont worry I wont be a melo homer and i will completely be unbiased with my comments toward him, as with everybody.

However, I'm not able to see your LeBron boner, so you'll have to work on that if you really want to work for ESPN. I trust that you're a true Nuggets fan, because they're the fourth team that has been your favorite based off of one player. Also, the fact that you mention that you would become a fan of any other team that Melo may play for in the future, increased my belief in your true fandom. Welcome aboard! ;D |

I dont know if thats a joke or what haha? I actually am a great writer, but dont feel a need to take tons of time to make sure that it is perfect on here. In HS i was the sports editor of my school paper, had my own weekly sports show on school tv, was given an opportunity to write for the local newspaper once, and know everything about sports, so i know im a great writer/broadcaster and will succeed.
I cant stand LeBron and i can name plenty of people on espn who dont have a boner for him too. Skip Bayless, Stephen A Smith and Greg Anthony to name a few
3rd, i was like 5 when i was a jordan fan along w my father, so i wouldnt really count that. and ive grown up a lot and been attached to the nuggets more that any other team, so i really dont see that changing even if melo leaves, so for example if he went to...idk, miami, i would still be a fan of the nuggets, but also root for miami bc of melo.
Haha yea i can see your disbelief, but i believe i am truly a nuggets fan and thats all that matters

IBedit[/quote] The bad thing is you looked that up and dont even know what 6 wickets means...basically, there are a certain number of innings, and you get 10 "outs" per inning. you go until one team gets the required amount of "runs/points" and however many people have not been up to "bat" yet are counted as how many wickets remain. I didnt watch it, but i do know how to play and the rules of cricket. but when i was referring to the fact that i know everything about sports, i should have rephrased it to "i know everything about sports that ESPN cares about", not knowing that it would be taken the wrong way. basically i dont have to defend myself to anybody, but when i do make it, ill come back and brag.  |

i dont know who this is and i could care less, but i know im nothing like this person. I, throughout my whole life, have done everything I have ever put my mind to. I had straight A's throughout high school and through my first quarter and a half in college, I have continued that. I got into Ohio State, which has been a lifelong dream of mine. etc etc, there has been nothing i have come across in my life that i have not been able to conquer. Doubt is part of life, and I love to prove people wrong, and that is exactly what i will continue to do! ;D
