Hey guys, obviously i've never posted here before but i've been lurking and reading these boards for a while. Im a big Nuggets fan and an avid Lakers hater even though i live in CA. I've liked the nuggets since before AI came on and i love them even more now...I'm no basketball expert but I'm gonna start posting my thought here soon. Look forward to talking with you all.

I guess I've never introduced myself either. I've been a Nugs fan since I went to a game at McNichols when I was 8. Favorite Nugs ever for me: Michael Adams, Dik Mutombo, Robert Pack.
IMO, being a Nugs fan is about as schizophrenic as following a team can get. You can go from jubilant to absolutely livid over the course of 1 game with this team.
Hope to comment on the madness with you guys.

i got into the nuggets because earl boykins was just so cute. haha nah
i think probably when the nuggets got dikembe in the draft. i started paying attention to them a lot more. I was pretty excited when they beat the sonics as an eighth round seed.
I usually start watching some basketball when football ends ;-P
all time favorite nugget: chris jackson, awesome shooter. (mahmoud abdul rauf (sp?)

i have found a place where i can talk to REAL Nuggets fans! yeahhhhh
my favorite player is melo hince the meloman and 315 is the numbers of melo and nene. i also found of 315 is syracuse's area code which was cool to find out. i am born and raised in Grand Junction, CO and make it to Denver once a year to go watch a game but i watch EVERYGAME. im also a card collector and own over 300 carmelo cards including autographs and game worn jerseys. i have a photobucket full of pics on them and my other sports collection if anybody wants to see them

Hey, my name's IversoMeloman because AI is my favorite player of all time and Carmelo is possibly my favorite Nugget. I thought having the two of them together would work. Guess not. Personally, I felt they were only a solid point guard away from greatness. When AC is your starting PG you're lucky to even make the playoffs. I don't care who's on your team. Lebron wasn't acheiving his greatest success until the Cavs signed Mo Williams.
But anyway, I became a Nuggets fan when Michael Adams played. I guess I was 7. 1989. Michael Adams, Walt Davis, Blair Rasmussen, Bill Hanzlik. I remember that team well. Todd Lichti, Alex English. I guess Doug Moe was still coach at the time. Then they got Westhead and Orlando Woolridge and everything went to hell. At least some of those guys would go on to be vital pieces of our success in the early to mid 90s.
I currently live in South Florida and follow the Nuggets religiously thru NBA League Pass. Though it's always changing, my favorite player right now is Kenyon Martin. He plays with such heart and fire and determination most nights that it becomes contagious.
Though I'm still young (thank God), I'm quite the veteran Nuggets fan.
Go Nugs

Are you sure you want to be here? Read the current threads. Oh, I've read them. In a way, I'm happy to be so new because I have no idea what in the hell is going on. Then again, part of me wants to know. Maybe not. Whatever. 30

Pick a player to man-love on though. Choose now. Is it wrong that I never did? (Although I have to admit it's getting harder and harder for me to avoid falling into the Birdman love trap, especially when he very occasionally is not jumping on head fakes now).

The whole dissension and in-fighting revolves around posters latching onto one particular player.

Pick a player to man-love on though. Choose now. It's hard for me to pick just one because every week it changes. For the most part though, I'm digging Dahntay's game. I know there's been much consternation here regarding Jones--most people taking the negative viewpoint. More important than his game--which I'll admit can be strange at times--is what he's done for team chemistry. I think his locker room personality is something the team has lacked for years. He's a leader. He's a jokester. He knows when it's time to knuckle up. And he can jump over the Pepsi Center if he wanted. And when he's on the bench, he's the most boisterous teammate. Always supporting, coaching, yelling. He could be a very good coach one day. And he's also freaking ripped like Zeus. So yeah, DJ. 30
