bruh, I've said everything in that video. from I'm just happy for Murray to we should've flown Jokic's horses in for the parade to confusion over the draft picks. this is eerie.

I think ESPYs awards for this season go in this thread.
To start it off: Jamal Murray, comeback player of the year

Jokic best NBA player award:
(He leads Embiid 3-1 in best/most-valuable player awards this season with the WCF MVP, Finals MVP, and ESPYs Best Player award.)

I so badly am here for the corronation of Jamal as the best PG in the league - and it's fair to say that. Outside of Steph Curry, Jamal is the only PG in the league today who can single-handedly win a game for you (look no further than Game 2 of WCF and many more).
Only thing I don't like is that now Jamal will get a supermax - hopefully the lux tax limit goes up enough to keep MPJ.
Oh well - we got two years with this core together, at worst, so let's make the best of it!

well, Jamal needs to make an All-NBA team to be eligible for the supermax and I wouldn't call him a lock to make one.

He’s preparing for this to happen. It also helps that the lux tax limit is going to go up as time goes on.

I know. It will destroy the franchise unfortunately. No team, especially small market, can survive two super max deals. I guess it’s something we will have to deal with.

We are supposed to be offering Murray a max extension this summer, and I don’t recall hearing that it happened. When it does, Murray has the choice of accepting or politely declining the offer, instead going for Supermax at end of season by making an All-NBA team or AllStar team. If he fails at that and gets hurt during season, then he not only wouldn’t qualify for a Supermax, he might also put the max extension he was offered at risk of not coming back. So, Murray might take the certainty and accept the max extension we offer this summer. It’s a bird in the hand, as the old saying goes.

Brother - the lax tax limit (second apron) is really high. With Calvin stacking the team with cheap contracts, we’ll be able to keep the core four together.

Regarding Murray - If he was going to sign the max extension, I really think we would know by now.
I think he wants to bet on himself. And that’s not a bad thing - it means he’s going to come out like a monster.
Regardless - Core Four is together for at least another 2 seasons - let’s get banners for both.
