Hastings and Marlowe are two of the nicest guys in the business. They especially want the players to succeed.
Bones has severe "issues" if he 's going to insult Marlow and Hastings. Hastings has ZERO to apologize for.
I was the biggest advocate against trading Bones - I blamed Malone for being stubborn, blamed the FO - but I'm glad we traded Bones's ass. All of his behavior signals a troubled soul. Not to mention that he and his "team" actually thought that Murray would stay injured, Bones would emerge, and then usurp the '2nd best player' mantle away from Murray (with Murray consequently shipped out of town). Didn't work out that way - so what did Bones do? Completely and utterly pout like a little b***h.
Grateful he's gone.

I agree with your overall assessment. Too bad. He's got skills, but reality and teamwork apparently aren't two of them.

He's a daytime sports talk radio host. As long as he's not spewing bigotry on air he's above par as far as professionalism in that business. Hastings along with Mr. Magoo has been the voice of the Nuggets for over two decades now. he shouldn't under any capacity refer to former players as excrement. it reflects badly on the Nuggets, who are just now establishing themselves as a marquee organization. if Hastings wants to enjoy a career as a shock jock, he should retire as as color commentator for the Nuggets. this team traded for a convicted rapist but running to the locker room out of frustration is a bridge too far? lol, let it go.

Bones didn’t deserve a ring. He asked to be traded in addition to disrespecting the other players and the coaches. He just didn’t contribute to the championship.
I’m not a Hastings fan and wish KSE would move on from him, even if he is a very decent guy as duh reports. They have Winge waiting in the wings, although it’s my impression she has picked up some bad broadcasting habits from Hastings (here’s a tip: it’s not radio).
A couple of weeks ago I caught some of a Pelicans broadcast on NBA TV. Their broadcasting team (Joel Meyers and Antonio Daniels) was a breath of fresh air — less talking, no coaching the players, only a little homerism but with good knowledge of and respect for the players on the opposing team.

You guys don't appreciate Hastings enough. He's a damn good commentator.
It's really "sexy" to s**t all over Hastings (I don't know why?) -- but I absolutely love his insights about playing on championship teams, how it applies to team chemistry today, and how he will completely expose referrees ("there's the makeup call").
I've listened to a lot of broadcasts. The only one that has ever topped what Hastings and Marlowe bring was the 2021 Knicks broadcast with Clyde Frazier, Wally S and a handful of others. Dolan has no clue how to run a team - but the man can hire broadcasters.
Regarding Winge - obviously I like Kate, but she's not hastings. Her color commentary lacks depth and is mainly a cheerleader chorus line. Over time, she will get much better - but Hastings brings damn good depth to the broadcast. I'll miss him during retirement.
Regarding his comment on Bones: The Kroenke organization has been nothing but kind to ex-players. Hastings is an institution and is utterly complimentary of about anyone who's worn our prided blue and red colors. If someone turns off a man with the good will of Hastings, then you gotta question how flawed a person is who can do that to Hastings.
EDIT: I did see that Pels broadcast with Daniels and they are very good - also Nancy Lieberman did an excellent analysis - hope she goes national - she's a gem.

To each his own. I know that Hastings knows the game. But for me, commentators have one job — call the game, and if its a bad game or there is a little time to kill, throw in an anecdote or some tidbit about players/coaches. But Hastings sometimes coaches the team — “cut, cut”, “attack the rim”,“don’t settle,” “don’t pick up your dribble,” “box so and so out” — and its extremely homerific and annoying. I don’t want to hear him giving any instructions to the Nuggets’ players. Ever. Its not his place, its not his job, it screams that he knows better about what to do on court than the players, and furthermore, some of his instructions are not even what the actual coaches (who unlike Hastings spend thousands of hours watching film and poring over analytics) want players to do. For example, he’s still in his playing days when we get the “don’t settle” (referring to taking outside shots) when taking a large number of threes is absolutely the game plan for most modern teams in part because its necessary for decent court spacing. He’s cut back on the “in my day” bits, but he still does the coaching stuff and that bugs me big time.

This has gotten way off of the actual topic of the thread. Anyone got any more championship highlights, photos, videos, etc?
