I do hope Murray, Mudiay and Juancho will be better next season but it's possible they won't. They didn't get the development needed this season. I hope we are done with the vets though. Gallo, Chandler, WC, Barton, Nelson, good riddance. Oh bs , how do u know , did you work at the can and see all the work outs/ practice they do

Wouldn't surprise me if Portland are top 2 in the West next season. This is f***ing the funniest s**t i have read in my life. Does Pop and Leonard die or something? your memory is literally two games long. 5 days ago Blazers realgm and Reddit all were pro tanking

What matters is did we have the talent to make it? And with the emergence of Jokic, I say a definite YES. Sadly, Malone didn't identify this or our ideal style of play until 12/15. He also ruined Nurk's attitude with all those needless DNP's, which diminished his value, created a problem in the locker room, and forced our hands. If Malone would steal a win here and there late in fourth quarters, I'd agree with you. Reality is that he's been a piss poor in-game coach.

How can he be so bad when he led a team predicted to fight for a top 5 pick to fight for the playoffs instead?
We can speculate all we want, but thats the facts. I know not making the playoffs would hurt, but lets not get carried away
And Jokic has only had one coach in America. Coach Malone. and Jokic looks pretty f***ing good. He has gone from 41st pick to superstar under Malone
Maybe playing with him as our man could have worked from day one, maybe it would have ruined him, and IMO that would have been much worse. These few months finding our indentity will seem like nothing down the line

And you have totally unrealistic ideas about what a coach can do. You are the kind of guy that would never be happy with any coach (unless it was Pop)
Did you like Karl?

And I don't think Gallo has had any games where he came back from injury played well. There is almost always an adjustment period with Gallo coming back. Yeah that's true. He needs to warm up. Although this doesn't seem to be one of those major injuries.

Yes, I liked Karl and thought he shouldn't have been fired after winning COY. It was a bush league move by Josh, IMO. You are literally the only poster on this forum who is happy with Malone this season. Consider the possibility that the consensus of this message board just might be right.

I didn't like Karl but I think even he would get this team to play better defense than last in the league. He's coached a lot of the guys currently on the roster.

I have never seen Malone do or draw up anything as stupid as the AC inbound plays. And he did it f***ing twice Dont let your personal preferences cloud your judgement

Tim handed two division rivals defensive game-changing big men. that is beyond terrible. Is there any doubt that he is the GOAT drafter tho? And Jokic > Gobert > Nurkic Remember though that Utah figured out that Gobert was a legit player and pre-arranged the swap with the Nugs. Every other team passed on him. Props to Utah.

I also think Karl would have stolen a few wins late in games, and not blown nearly as many fourth quarter leads as Malone has done. Love or hate Karl, that guy simply knew how to win with Denver, no matter the roster, in the regular season.

Yes, Karl would have played Jokic and likely seen his superior talent earlier on. He normally hates rookies, but Joker is no ordinary player. Remember how Fournier blossomed in his second season here, under Karl?

Well Malone wasn't really playing Jokic much at the start. The guy is too much of a talent to ignore.
Karl would 100% definitely play the vets though. I don't think he'd play Barton since he hates those type of players.

Jokic and his brand of basketball is like the living breathing manifestation of everything Karl believes in.
yeah, I think they would have gotten along lol.
