since the board is getting VERY active again (great news of course), it means that there will be more posts to read and more posts that can possibly be inappropriate or warranting a deletion/warning. and you can tell there have already been a few arguments here and there, something the board does not need at all.
plus a couple of the current mods have not been active lately, making it even harder to keep track of. (they will not be losing their mod status)
so heres the deal, nominations are now open for the next NuggetsTalk moderator...and yes you can nominate yourself.
to be nominated you must have at least 50 posts and be an honest, trustworthy, and frequent visitor of NuggetsTalk with a good overall attitude and is able to objectively settle disputes, keep the board clean, running smoothly, and just keep the board under control. whether you meet those requirements is up to me, although i can say that most people here are in good standing. your warning level is not a direct factor in the decision.
this is also not a permanent position, although it could be. it may be for one month, one year, or longer. or shorter. depends on how it goes.
after the nominations are done (i will keep them open until we have enough potential candidates), we will have a vote amongst the finalists with the winner obviously having the most votes. which boards that they will be a moderator of is undecided at this time...anywhere from a few of them to all (global moderator).
however, it wont be a public poll. those are too easily influenced by people who have more than one screenname, which isnt allowed anyways. so to vote, you will PM me (yes you can vote for yourself, but you have to PM me...i wont just assume it).
to vote you need at least 10 posts and must be a member of NuggetsTalk from at least the end of nominations. anyone who tries to increase their vote count by making up extra names will not only be taken out of the running, but will be warned as well.
voting will last for a time that i will announce when the nominations are done and the finalists are listed. itll probably be like a week or something around that.
questions?
let the nominations begin...
