Do you ever think we could pull off 3 Championships in one year? The Avalanche are always on the brink, the Broncos look poised this year, and the Nuggets should be good in a couple of years. Avalanche: always there, have the talent, a great goalie, a good coach. Broncos: If Brian Griese understands that he has a formidable offense to use, Broncos will be back for the SB. Nuggets: Nik, Nene, Satterfield, Posey, some cap room, and other promising talent, you never know, they could be great in a couple of years. This year, I think we have an opportunity for two. Avalanche only have to worry about the wings, and CuJo isn't as good as Hasek. Broncos have a much improved Defense, only waiting for the offense to catch up. Rod Smith, Eddie Mac, Terrell Davis, Mike Anderson, and Shannon Sharpe are just waiting on Griese. He might have his act together, and when it is, watch out. Hehehe, harmless speculation. Any thoughts? Please, no one mention the rockies.

ugh, as much as i despise the avs (and love the wings), i would chose the avs/nuggets winning titles over say the lakers/wings. nuggets are defintely my top team by far.
hell i would honestly settle for avs beating the wings PLUS nuggets getting 8th seed.

The Broncos have a few question marks, namely the health of one Brian Griese. They have Shannon back, depth in WRs and RBs. The secondary still scares me a bit. Man would I love to see TD healthy enough to run right over Romocrap when they play the Raiders ;D
The Avs have the best chance to win a championship of any team in Denver. They definately need to add some defensive depth and take pressure off of Blake/Foote. Hartley only used four defenseman because Skoula regressed. Yet, it was Detroit's contributions on their third and fourth lines that did the Avs in last year. To me they won that series for the Red Wings. If the Avs can shore up their defense and find some scoring on the bottom two lines, they should be able to challenge the Red Wings next year.
I believe the Nuggets are on the right path, though I think it will be some time before the word "champions" and "Nuggets" will be in the same sentence. At least Kiki has a plan unlike Dan O'Dowd and the "Three Stooges" who are running the Colorado Rockies. The Nuggets will definately be in much better shape than the Rockies in a few years.

I met my wife because of the Steelers. It was the Super Bowl with the Steelers and the Cowboys, and we were the only two people at the party who were Cowboy haters, and that got us sort of exiled to the side.... and the rest is history.
So, needless to say, I like the Steelers.
