Maybyner Hilario is going to be one of the top 5 power forwards in the league, in addition he also has the size to at least fill in at the center position. People talk about Tskitishvilli's offensive skills but from what I have seen all he does is try to bust 3's, he wont take the ball to the hole or post anybody up, I dont know if it is because of a lack of confidence or not, but I have seen his diribbling skills and he should easily be able to drive on people. I dont think he will like posting people up however because that takes a mentality of loving to bang inside with other big men, which Skeets doesnt seem to have. Hilario on the other hand seems to enjoy battling people down in the pant and trying to block shots, and Hilario's defense is already far superior to Skeet's and that also takes a certain mentality. I predict Hilario will average about 10pts, 10,rbs, and 2blks/game. I realize these are some lofty expectations but this kid can do it or come very close to it. The bottom line is although Skeets has the potential to be very good also, I believe it is Hilario who has desire and mental toughness to be great, and it is something Skeets will have to develop. Hlario's offense will keep improving each game he plays was well. The bottm line is Maybyner Hilario is going to be a Bada*s.

was bird a great rebounder? did you see him giving up his body banging with the big guys, going hard to the rack?
didn't think so. he played a different game, and nobody questioned his mindset.
a negative impression of skeeter at this point is wildly premature. he's going to be a better bird.
p.s. hilario is the next olajuwan. with more muscle.

Bird was a damn good rebounder and a tough player, he did everything - rebound, assist, defense, inside and outside scoring. Look at his career stats for rebounding, if Parish had been the only guy rebounding, the Celtics would have stunk. I watched him play tons of games, and he was a good rebounder.

bird was an adequate rebounder for his size & position. i'm not questioning his hall of fame credentials, i'm saying it wasn't his primary role to be down there moving people out of the way.
it won't be skeeter's role either. he'll still be extremely valuable and effective on both ends.

Yes, I agree, just thought Bird/Skita comparison was not a good one. Skita is only 19 - and hardly even played on the European team - hard to compare him to anything yet! Imagine how intimidated and confused he has to feel over here, he probably has no clue as to what he should be doing on the court/what people want him to do. So, all he is sure of right now is shooting when he is open. There is no telling how he will develop in terms of toughness and rebounding, but I'll tell you this - he has much more of an NBA body than I had been led to believe - Shawn Bradley he ain't!

It takes time to develop these players as the Nugs continue to emphasize, I'm sure skitz will develop a low post game and drive more as he learns more about the game.

He said some good things in that interview, or at least his translator did.
JG: “So what was your reaction when you were informed of your trade to Denver?” NENE:“At that moment I could have gone anywhere really. It was just a matter of being in the NBA and going that high. But I knew Denver would be a better spot for me as a player to grow. And I knew that the fans that are here are fanatics.
The few of us that still exist, yes.

I still don't get the Skita bashing. He played better than Nene in the RMR (IMO) and supposedly has more upside, but people rave about Nene and bash Skita. Confusing.

Skita started strong and got worse, while Nene got better each game. However, I'm of the belief they're both going to be very, very good.
When does UNC start?
