Of 11 predictions, 6 have Nuggets winning title. Letting hopium overshadow realism. I hope I’m wrong and you six are right.

Biggest reason we got let down last year is because Jokic and Murray were running on fumes. Calvin went out and got the finest backup Jokic has ever had, and a damn good backup for Murray. This also doesn't take into account the emergence of Strawther - as well as continued good development from Watson and CB. If CB stays on Edwards to close game 7 (that move alone) we win the game. Also factor in that the Wolves are now *defanged* losing their second best player - it all portends quite well for our boys.

I don't know how people can watch PHX and MIN from last night and think that those teams are scary. Like we may lay an egg tomorrow, and that would be demoralizing, BUT the West is there for the taking!

Guys are playing themselves into shape, rotations are being figured out by their coaches, chemistry is still being worked on to incorporate new guys on teams, or the replacement of guys who left. So I don’t take much stock in the idea that last night’s PHX/LAC is indicative of anything. Except Tyus Jones will help the Suns a lot, as we saw in 4Q, which was usually the downfall for the Suns last season as they lacked any PGs to settle things down and control crunch time. Clippers will just be a bad team. Bottom 5 in WC.

MIN also seems to have taken a step back defensively, and I just don't like how their pieces at all fit together. Now I expect a Randle trade by mid-season, BUT what are you really getting from Randle that's going to make a difference. I've always like Reid as a player, but Naz is not some lockdown defender, nor is the offensive player that KAT was. I just on a whole feel like the West has a number of solid to good teams but no world beaters, and honestly if Nuggets get their act together I like our top 9 vs almost anyone.

I'll go with the safe bet
57-25/3rd seed/conference finals/Jokic leads all the stats.
Strawther will be the big surprise for everyone that hasn't been paying attention.

No more predictions count here, as season has started.
The average prediction was:
53 wins 3 seed (avg. of 3.16) 50% (6 of 11) have us as champions. Boston 2, Dallas 2, OKC 1. MVP: Luka 5, SGA 3, Ant 2, Tatum 1. 0 have Jokic as MVP.
Telling.

The 3 years Jokic won the regular season MVP -- we lost in the playoffs. The year he lost to Embiid, we were champions in 2023. 2025 NBA Championship = Denver Nuggets >>>>>> Jokic getting his 4th MVP (I'm sure Jokic would agree too) I'm actively hoping someone else wins the MVP, preferably Tatum
