its clearly getting out of hand. this place is meant to be a peaceful, fun board where nugget fans can get together to discuss our favorite team.
I know its the offseason but its becoming too much.
possible options:
1) move all of the non nuggets stuff to its own thread and let people just talk about whatever they want there
2) delete it all going forward
or if people have other ideas, please share.

NT is quiet this time of year, typically, but that shouldn’t mean that relatively inactive Nuggets or NBA-related topic threads get spammed with nonstop debating about whatever non-Nuggets issue triggers people to write, usually politically-related. I come here to get away from that. Thank you, rock, for highlighting this problem by creating this thread.
New policy should be:
Unless a new NON-Nuggets or NON-NBA thread is created specifically for such non-Nuggets/ NBA topic, or unless existing Random Thread is used for such postings, the posts will be immediately deleted. Period.

I prefer "delete it all" -- I don't come here for political talk, religious talk, Andrew Tate burners, and so on. I'm not gonna freelance and delete stuff without that being the rule, but if we make it the rule, I'll gladly enforce it.

Maybe. Don't care. If you don't want it deleted, post it in the right thread. Do your job as a mod , you had a chance right away to move the post right away but you had to put in your 2 cent also- so maybe you should follow the rules also. Now that rock has decided that's the rule, that's what I'm going to enforce. If someone posts it in the wrong place, it gets deleted. Followups get deleted too. |

Ill take the blame.
20 years ago I just wanted to create a forum where nugget fans could talk nuggets. It has started to evolve away from that, and Id like to get it back on track. Im not going to lie, there have been many times I just scroll past 100s of posts covering many pages because I just didnt want to read any of that stuff. Its not why I come here. So I probably missed a ton of things going on. Its also not easy to moderate and delete posts from a cell phone.
So yeah, I messed up. My options are just let the board turn into a political debate or try to make it better going forward. And I think the best option is lets just talk nuggets here and keep the other stuff for another board. I hope most can agree.
Please post non nugget stuff in the random thread, and please keep it civil.
