Where do we get 40% shooters, though? You picked a horrible night to quote regular season stats as KCP was 1-4 and MPJ 1-6 from 3 on a night Denver needed more production. Sorry but a player on a max (MPJ) and KCP at $15 mil doing that bad CAN be replaced. Bench needs significant help and being a luxary tax team means they're going to have to move somebody and let KCP walk. It felt like KCP took some tough 3s when most of MPJ’s were wide open. Not sure what the answer is, but dang. I like keeping KCP and trading MPJ, but who knows for what. We miss another slasher like Brown, but then we’re also not a very good 3pt % team and losing MPJ only makes us worse there. No answers right now.

Amen to that. Bench needs serious help. Trade MPJ and met KCP walk. you’re not getting anything near KCP’s production for that money Amen. I don’t agree with letting KCP walk.

Sure he has his moments but he has way more games where he completely disappears on the offensive end. Nobody doubts his defensive attributes but to be brutally honest he's on the wrong side of 30 and can be replaced for half or less of the cost with similar production which allows for improving the bench.

In the end, 12 games is a small sample size to condemn those guys completely, and I will note that KCP still was wearing tape on his right pinkie finger tonight. Hard to say if that finger condition hurt his shooting. That said, it’s up to KCP whether he wants to opt in or out. I think he will go seek a bag somewhere else. He’s on the wrong side of 30, so we might not try to retain him. Maybe we could look at trading MPJ for Jerami Grant and someone else. Even a straight-up trade might not be so bad.

We need Booth and mpj gone before June I think McDaniels scored more points tonight than MPJ has the last 3 games combined. Again, it's a team game. There's a reason superteams and big 3s overwhelmingly fail miserably. And it's because you need contributions from more than your star players.

Good game, good season. The team played hard and mostly well but their lack of depth caught up with them in the 2nd half.

This is Sh*^. Can’t talk, how can you lose that lead in half a game, most important game of the season. Just can’t.
Signing off for some time now.

He plays great defense and is a reliable spot up shooter- that’s it. Doesn’t sound like much but defenses need to always keep him covered or they get punished, like Minny did to start the game. We have to have a very good defender as our second guard since Murray is not good, and we need spacing. In today’s game a player that can defend and spot up for 3 is getting payed over 20mil.

I don’t know if I want to see Minnesota win it all. Maybe it should make us feel better, but won’t it really just make you think that if we hold onto this 20 point lead we win back to back championships?

The CBA doesn’t work that way and I want KCP back. He’s a winning player — has rings with 2 different teams and not by coincidence or luck. I hope the Nuggets offer him a nice multi-year extension and he takes it.

and teams like the Blazers, 76ers, Bullets (Wizards), Hawks and your Knicks haven't won a championship in 40-60 years so it's only a minority of fanbases that have experienced a championship in our lifetimes.

keep KCP if you can retain him at his current price tag. remember how this team would pine for a 3+D guard and had to deal with Will f***ing Barton being our perimeter stopper during crunch time?

Flip CB into the starting lineup and get a legit 6th man scorer off the bench.

This hasn’t been talked about as much…
But Booth and Denver banked on Watson really taking that next step and being a rotation player in the playoffs.
Unfortunately, he regressed toward the end of the season. It’s understandable since he’s still so young, but nothing was really done to this bench in hopes PWat and Braun take that next step.
I still feel Watson could’ve brought some needed energy and defense to a game like today, but there just wasn’t trust in him. Sucks.
Hope he keeps improving.
