There is almost no difference between those 2000's LeBron Cavs teams and entire Jokic era with Denver so far. Good news is that Jokic will never leave Denver. Bad news is, our front office is blind to see that we have bunch of overpaid role players around him.

I've said this comsistently all season. No one on this team can get to the rim. Outside of Jokic, but asking your center to be your only slasher is not a recipe for success. We need to add someone onto this team going forward who can put pressure on the rim. I was hoping Murray would be that guy but I'm not seeing it. Outside of his synergy with Jokic and his streaky buy tough shot making he's never probably going to be an All Star. Not getting Jokic another All Star us criminal.

Best case scenario outside of the Nuggets winning. Nuggets got absolutely embarassed. Every single player needs to be better. It's gut check time. Zero what ifs. No little tweaks. After getting destroyed like that you'll find out what the Nuggets are made of.
Being at home is huge. Just gotta show up.

One more funny fact and i am done. Kareem, Magic, Bird, MJ, LeBron, Steph, Shaq, Kobe, Duncan played with a minumum of 43 up to 87 combination of All-Nba team, All defense team, All star team teammates in their careers. Jokic so far in his 9 years? Zero. 0. Nada.

You know what else is craazy. AG is our most consistent 3 PT shooter this series. AND yet we're still getting to game 7. IF we can figure out how to win game 7, any of the other series will be much eaasier at least from an offensive perspective. No other teams have the length that MIN does to bother us both on the perimeter and in the post. On top of that no one else has anyone who can guard Jokic even decently. Having said all that, we need a 2nd all-star on this team going forward.

Jokic so far in his 9 years? Zero. 0. Nada. AG is borderline AS, or was last season. Should have been named to team. Jamal has played like a superstar in two separate postseasons, 2020 and 2023. But isn’t a RS AllStar and is hurt too much. Millsap was a 4x AllStar, but not for us and was washed by his final season in second half. We do need a legit AllStar to join Jokic before his prime is over. Not sure how that gets done. |

I agree with the post-game guys. ANT was playing mind-games when he kissed Jokic's ass about being "the best player in the league" after the last game.

Neither ANT nor Jokic is why we lost this game. Jokic scored 22 pts in 3 quarters and it added up to almost 1/3 our points. Jokic could have scored more but unless someone else is going to come along for the ride it doesn't matter. Secondly our defense was trash this game. Everyone can take blame for that. I also didn't think Malone made any real adjustments this game one of his worst coached games of the playoffs.

Did the bookies blackmail Porter? Just wondering. I've been a huge porter defender, but I think he's always going to struggle against high pressure defense. We can't rely on him, which is one of the many reasons it would be nice to have a legit 6th man. Too pricey for us, but a guy like Batum would work. I want a vet that can help us maintain some spacing when either Porter or Murray are struggling. |
