Two down, two more to go
What a game is in front of us. Whoever wins it will have huge advantage in series. But will not win it!
Nuggets have found something. That something is, give Ant what he wants, but give nothing to others and play as hard as you can. And key is playing as hard as you can. At the end of game 4 both teams were exhausted, so if Nuggets removed their foot from the gas, they wouldn't win it, and same will apply for this game. Cause let me tell you something, that Ant kid, he will come ready to play.
4 games, 4 visitors wins. Time to break that circle. Go get them boyz!

My good news is: We're going to win Game 5.
The X-Factors:
Minny's Bench: What was a strength is now going to garbage. Finch will take solace in the fact that the "all-big" lineup is what made the game close in Game 4 (although I will argue it was a blowout if Jokic doesn't accrue fouls). However, Minny basically played a 7-man rotation in Game 4. Kyle Anderson only saw 6 mins (appropriately, because SloMo gets picked on whenever he's on the floor - SloMo is Minny's DLo). But the player who has gotten killed is NAW. NAW is exhausted. Played 24 mins in game 4 at -20, whereas many starters (KAT, Gobert, Edwards) were actually "+" overall.
So what will Finch do? Give minutes to Kyle Anderson? Absolutely not - Kyle will get picked on both ends of the floor, to Minny's great detriment.
More mins to Monte? Far too small and gives away the size advantage (which is Minny's bread and butter). McLaughlin? lol.
NAW is exhausted from being constantly hit by Jokic. He's now slown down, can't shoot, shot legs (may even be injured, unfortunately, due to constantly running into Jokic like a moron). Compare this development to our guys, who are enjoying the temporary "all-star" emergence of Justin Holiday, who is basically anchoring our playoff bench.
Minny's bench is now their kryptonite. Their bench is officially far worse than ours. NAW is finished due to being hit too much. One day off, heading into altitude? That will make it even worse.
Minny literally has one quality player left off of the bench and that's Naz Reid. NAW will play and get killed. Finch will be left with the rough decision of inserting SloMo or Kyle McLaughlin - or riding out a 7-man rotation, with starters reaching exhaustion.
The removal of NAW is the biggest reason why we will win.
ANTHONY EDWARDS: He has to score 40+ in order for Minny to have a chance (the amount he has basically scored in all Minny victories). This is a f***ing tall order to have to take on, every single game - especially now that AG is spending more time on him.
KARL ANTHONY TOWNS: For as talented as he is - this is the FIRST time KAT has ever played in the second round. He's not playoff experienced and doesn't understand how you pace yourself for the playoffs. KAT's shooting is falling off a cliff starting game 3 to now. KAT is tired. Unfortunately, KAT is likely still feeling major fatigue from his injury. KAT is also, generally, just an injury-prone player as well. He has played a long season and is now running out of energy. KAT was solid in Games 1 and 2 because he got a generous break after the PHX series. Like NAW - Kat's legs are now shot, which is producing a poor field goal percentage.
OUR BENCH: Shockingly, our bench is getting better now that the playoffs are here (lol). Holiday gives us a fresh legs, much the way Rodney Hood breathed new life into PDX when they beat us in the second round in 2019.
MURRAY: Murray is still fatiguing at the end of games - but with NAW falling off a cliff, Murray is getting far more room to operate, and it's helping our playmaking enormously.
I'm not going to say the game tonight is a blow-out - but I do expect us to decisively win.

The Nuggets have them figured out.
This will end in the next two games.

can't see the Nuggets dropping three home games in a row. though nothing about this series is normal.
I'm looking at what KAT is contributing from the onset, if he can't take the pressure off Ant and it's just hero ball for the Wolves, the Nuggets will be sitting pretty.
the biggest adjustment for Minch would to take Towns off Jokic completely, tell him to focus entirely offense and let the 4xDPOY do what the accolades and the supermax suggest he's capable of.

I've been enjoying the Screamin A Smith apology tour, I'm not going to lie. if only The Big Salty had his humility.

Mike Conley questionable with Achilles soreness I don't see him not playing unless it's really bad, in that case, huge advantage to DEN as MIN doesn't seem willing to play Monte Morris this series, will force ANT to take on even more playmaking duties which while he's great in attack mode, his decision making at times leaves something to be desred!

I love how the title of the thread says 4:30 AM Going to bed soon, it's not easy to keep up with the games in the middle of the night and go to work immediately afterwards.

#1 get TNF to bed early fan
8:30MTN is too late, for the record. this is very likely the best series of the entire playoffs and you're expecting east coasters to tune in at damn near 11PM? people have jobs, Silver.

you got it Finchie.
now run the receipts on the Tpups cap sheet after Edwards supermax kicks in and you're paying close to 150m to three players. you might want to stockpile those perc prescriptions.

Mike Conley questionable with Achilles soreness As I said - Minny's conditioning is garbage. They're not built for the long haul. This is why NAW is ailing, as well as KAT. Add Conley to that. I am not cheering for injury - but all three of those players don't have the conditioning to continue. We're going to see more fatigue from them tonight.

Conley is a massive loss. He's such a smart, calm, clutch guy who always seems to kill us.

Conley is a massive loss. He's such a smart, calm, clutch guy who always seems to kill us. Very good player. Wolves defensively will switch everything on the perimeter now though. Murray HAS to be a willing facilitator.
