This would have been a double digit blowout if jokic doesn’t get into foul trouble. Minny is cooked. Our guys can’t get cocky - but we’re in Minny’s head. As long as we stay crisp, we’ll win the next two. Minny has ran out of options and is playing scared. As I said - One or two adjustments can turn a series, and few are better at adjusting than Malone. Well done Team Optimism! We knew. I am optimist, but you are like anti-rock Nuggets down 15 with 2 minutes to end, duh88: "we have them right where we want them! this is going to be easy win"

Very proud of the fight and effort . I really think the Wolves other than Ant are frontrunners so I am interested to see how they respond to adversity.

So true. Joker plays multi-level chess, along with other methods, and the game is only fun for him when he uses his brain.

CB has a completely better game than KCP, and is showing he can slot in as a starter if KCP leaves this summer. Of course, the issue then would be who replace CB on second unit? I doubt KCP goes anywhere. I expect both he and Reggie will opt in. Almost a lock KCP opts out as this will be his last chance for a multi-year deal. Whether he's back with Denver depends on how much he's asking and evauluation of his performance in the playoffs. Reggie probably opts-in although worse case scenario if he does opt would be a vet minimum that isn't that far off from what he makes currently.

Reggie probably opts-in although worse case scenario if he does opt would be a vet minimum that isn't that far off from what he makes currently. All the better if we could get him for 3 or 4 years at a lower number than his 1 year option would be. I think he wants to stay and I think he wants to win. And unlike with Bruce, I think the economics are more favorable to us this time. Bruce went and earned more in this one season than he had in his entire career combined previously, and signed a deal worth 3X as much as we could even offer. KCP, on the other hand, has already earned more than 100 million on NBA contracts and no matter where he goes he'll be adding dozens of millions more before it's all said and done. And if he gets more elsewhere it will be a difference of a few million per season at best, not a factor of 3.

based on the CBA, the Nuggets can extend KCP for basically any dollar amount up to the max. Obviously wouldn't, but could. So it's not like the Bruce situation where there was no possible way to match the dollars and other teams could offer 3x more. And KCP cares about winning, already has fairly high career earnings, and isn't likely to get a much much bigger offer elsewhere (he could potentially be offered like 10% more and maybe even ask the Nuggets to match it.) In addition, being on a contender means more playoff dollars (though not a huge amount more compared to a max contract; a championship-winning team ends up with something like $8m bonus that can be split among players however the team decides.) Going to a worse team is only a no-brainer money wise if the money is a *lot* better, not if it's like half a mil more per season.

I can definitely see KCP opting out and trying to secure a longer contract or slightly more money. But I also can't see him actually leaving to go somewhere else, especially since we'll actually have the ability to pay him, unlike what the situation was with Bruce. And even if it did require a slight overpay by us to keep him, it's hard to imagine them not doing it. With how restricted we are on ways to improve or just bring guys in, you can't lose KCP for nothing. Even if you don't want him long term, to me it would still make sense to sign him and have his salary to trade later on. Especially with how lacking we are in tradeable contracts (everyone makes either 40 mill or less than 5 mill, basically).
Unless Philly or OKC decides to make him their #1 target and use all their cap space on him with a massive overpay (instead of guys like Lebron, PG13, DeRozan, Harden, etc), I'm not sure where else he'd possibly end up anyway.

Any time you shoot 57% on the road against the best defense in the league, you're doing something right. I have zero complaints tonight.

Edwards scoring 44 points on 64% FG and hitting 5 3's on 63% is just unreal. Although everything is possible I don't expect him to keep shooting this well. He increased his fg% by like 50% and doubled his percentage on 3's. Good luck with that shooting lol. What is more concerning is that he played 45.5 minutes and won his minutes by 5 points. The rest of T-poops lost 2.5 minutes by 13 points. Jokic needs to be in the attack mode from now till the begging of the next season

Reggie and KCP back off the injury report. Just Jamal with the ever-present questionable tag and Vlatko.

It’s about time for one of those 20+ point games from KCP tomorrow night. MPJ hopefully goes off too.

Scoreboard: No one was more accurate at predicting the outcome of each playoff series, last year, than me. No one predicted that Minny would be our toughest matchup last year - except me. And no one else predicted who would be our toughest matchup, again, this year, well over a year out (again: I picked Minny) - but me. I think my skills at prediction and analysis are f***ing good. #YWDF
