Not a fan of that. Nuggets better be ready to come out swinging in Game 5 too, because Edwards absolutely will be. Guy is f***ing phenomenal. Would be awesome if he just had a bad game at some point but it ain't happening. nah, love it. don't be a frontrunning coward like Booker and only talk s**t when you're up. talk your s**t when your team comes up short as well. No I mean as a Nuggets fan I do not love that lol. Ant is going to come into Game 5 looking to kill. Extra hard.

it cannot be understated how much AG won this game for us. MPJ s**t the bed and it didn't make a lick of difference. he did MPJ's job tonight too. amazing. first bad game of MPJ in this playoffs. it happens. he will bounce back in Denver. btw, he did try on defense, so can't hate on guy for not finding his offense

Series so far:
Lost by 7 at home. Lost by 26 at home. Won by 27 on the road. Won by 8 on the road.
Mirror symmetry, but we were one point better on the road each game than they were.
Now it would make sense that home team wins remaining games. Nuggets in 7.

Just awesome. Jokic being aggressive as a scorer just changes how teams defend you. Makes everyone better. MVP game for him. Gordon having an MVP game was pretty wild.

BTW, our real Big 3 are Joker, Murray, and Gordon. MPJ paid like one of them, but he’s #4.

The way Jokic came out in the 1Q and the way he finished the 4Q is exactly what you need from the MVP. His best game of the postseason by far. Need it again in Game 5.

Also pretty clear the Nuggets thrive as the underdogs and love playing with a chip on their shoulder. Effort the past 2 games has been drastically different.
Far from over but that shameful game 2 could end up being pretty important in the long run.

Man, mpj being unplayable in these important games is concerning. He's carrying max contract and it's like 6th or 7th player. If we don't make nba finals he should be the first one to go shitting over Jamal... now shitting over MPJ... yet when Jokic lay an egg in games 1 and 2 he was praising him... stop posting groupie. Who was praising Jokic in game 2 lol. Get sleep man I know how you feel

The problem with trading MPJ is whether anybody wants that albatross of a contract.

8-0 run to end the half ended up being the literal difference of the game.
I'm sure Minnesota rock is handling this loss in a similarly calm and rational manner as our own rock.

I think the real postseason began for him when we were down 0-2 to Minny. He was bored, and needed adversity to motivate him.

Makes it way easier for everybody else. If Minny starts guarding Gordon closely there's gonna be a lot more space too. I'd have to rewatch but I wanna say there was some possessions where nobody was sagging off in the 4th. Atleast not to the same extent but was pretty fired up watching lol

This wasn't the first time. And one guy said that he tried on D lol. He was lost 34 of his 35.5mins on the floor

I don’t think he can go any harder, but I also think he could easily replicate tonight’s performance. What a game from everyone not named MPJ. Does Minny go to Naz Reid over Gobert/KAT? Do they change up anything or only if they go down 2-3? Do we flirt with putting in Braun? Give him extra minutes for sure, especially if MPJ gives us another dud or KCP struggles.

CB had a completely better game than KCP, and is showing he can slot in as a starter if KCP leaves this summer. Of course, the issue then would be who replaces CB on second unit?

This would have been a double digit blowout if jokic doesn’t get into foul trouble.
Minny is cooked. Our guys can’t get cocky - but we’re in Minny’s head. As long as we stay crisp, we’ll win the next two. Minny has ran out of options and is playing scared.
As I said - One or two adjustments can turn a series, and few are better at adjusting than Malone.
Well done Team Optimism!
We knew.

I doubt KCP goes anywhere. I expect both he and Reggie will opt in. Sure, but IF he bolts, who replaces CB on the bench? Remember we were confident Grant would stay too. And Iggy. You have to fall back on Strawther if KCP leaves. No other choice, because: -We need to upgrade Zeke Nnaji. Period. And we need to somehow shed salary while we do it. -We need to upgrade Reggie Jackson. We can't count on him to play 90+ games at 6th man level minutes again. Those have to be the two biggest priorities. A backup big and a backup point guard. Anybody else we can pick up to upgrade somewhere is a welcome bonus, but we have to focus in on those weaknesses. In my opinion we have to move Zeke, Reggie (assuming he opts in too), Tyson, and Pickett for 2 guys coming back. Attach the picks to make it happen. Then a farewell to DJ, pick up Vlatko's option, maybe bring back Holiday, sign CG to a full time deal to be PG #3, and fill in the rest of the roster spots with vet minimums/draft pick. For the two-ways, you offer them another 1 year deal and I'll explain why. Huff and Key are restricted free agents, so if we offer them two-ways it will take someone offering them a full time deal like what happened with White last year to lose them. Because two-ways aren't guaranteed, they could essentially claim dibs on Huff and Key while still going shopping for someone younger and with more upside. If we find those guys we can cut Huff/Key without any penalty; if we don't, you bring back the two vets because they're smart and reliable and they already know the system and their teammates.
