He's just dumb simply said You guys just refuse to blame Jokic for anything. His defense has been terrible in the series. Can we blame him for that or is that now allowed? Or does it not matter because of his offense?
Jamal is taking 3rd most shots in the entire postseason after Brunson and Luka. He is shooting 38%. Nuggets are 3-1. That is the greatness of Nikola Jokic

fatty's telling Jamal to keep shooting. No it's actually Jamal saying f**k you Nikola I'm better than you I'm taking all the shots. It's definitely not Jokic being passive because that would be a complete outlier...

It's definitely not Jokic being passive because that would be a complete outlier... I feel like it's a situation where the entire team knows they need Jamal to at least be regular season Jamal, and they're trying to get him going. This is the first year where Jamal has ever struggled through a whole playoff series. I agree Jokic needs to take more shots and Murray less. I feel like Jokic is constantly looking to dribble handoff to Jamal cause he wants him to get on track, but at some point we need to change things up. Cause he hasn't got on track yet, and while we are still in firm control up 3-1, lose this next one and you give LAL life.

They just need to play through Jokic. When Jokic is aggressive it makes everyone elses job much easier. We've seen this for his entire tenure. Jokic can get Murray going by forcing the defense to make decisions. Right now their life is easy. Jokic isn't going to post up, overplay the PnR, just live with DHOs. It's easy defense in the half court.

Or does it not matter because of his offense? Give AD some credit, ffs. Heâs healthy and playing like prime AD, an AllStar and top two-way player in the game. Jokic isnât playing terrible D. Maybe not his best defensive series, but you constantly focus on Jokic to make a point to the Jokicstans on this board. Itâs not the truth about our troubles, which trace to everyone not named Jokic, MPJ, and AG. If the rest of the team showed up for this series, weâd already by resting up for Round 2.

Jokic has been bad in all aspects of defense in this series. He's been so bad that Malone has had to move him away from the primary and secondary actions. He didn't do that in Game 4 (I have no idea why) and they lost. It's not a coincidence. Jokic is the best player in the world. Most of the focus should be on him. He is not helping his team at the start of games which is putting them in a hole.

Let me ask you a question. If what I'm saying is so off base, why are others in the media that cover Jokic on a daily basis saying the same thing? Like you have to at least acknowledge that it's not a crazy take even if you disagree with it. Mares is the biggest Jokic homer to walk the planet and even he has said he's been disappointed with Jokics approach to this series.

I don't care about WS/48
the only thing I care about is his USG% which is at 25% -- on pace for the lowest of his playoff career and overall, he hasn't been at 25% or lower since his third season. this needs to change, to put it mildly.

Youâre looking for confirmation bias in the media, and you found it with Mares. It doesnât mean you or Adam are right about this. Jokicâs performance overall has been excellent in this series. His TS% and WS/48 are off the charts. His usage and defense could improve, but thatâs not why they are behind in every game. They are behind because his teammates are stealing shots from him and robbing him of assists by bricking shots. Only so much one man can do on a team, even if that one man is a âBasketball Supermanâ, ie the Joker.

Correct but again...the problem is no one will say that and instead will just say Murray is forcing it or chucking shots, acting as if he is doing that out of selfishness which isn't the case. Jokic is not being aggressive to score, especially early in games. He rarely posted up AD in Game 4. It makes the Nuggets a ton easier to guard because there are less actions they can run.

I agree that it doesn't mean we are absolutely correct but you have to at least say that it's possible. I don't think his teammates are intentionally stealing shots from him. He's not dictating the offense as much as usual. I don't think any Nuggets player believes they are better when the ball isn't in Jokics hands.

He's not dictating the offense as much as usual. I don't think any Nuggets player believes they are better when the ball isn't in Jokics hands. Letâs try to quantify what youâre saying. In the RS, Jokic averaged .517 FGAs per minute. In these four playoff games, itâs at .447, a difference of .07 fewer FGAs for Jokic per minute. Over his 40.3 mpg, that equates to 2.8, or just under 3 fewer shot attempts than he would have based on regular season rate. Letâs just say 3. Even at 2/3 going in, thatâs about 4 points per game less than his rate stat from RS would suggest. Where are his shots going? Obviously mostly to Murray. His FGAs per minute are up from .53 in RS to .582 in playoffs. An increase of .05 per minute. At 39.5 mpg, Murray is taking 2 more shots per game. At a 40% FG%, Murray is making 0.8 more shots per game than RS. I assume most of the other shots Jokic isnât taking, .02 (.07 lost from Jokic minus .05 gained for Murray) go to MPJ and AG, but wonât get into that fine granularity here. I prefer Jokic to take more shots if he can maintain his efficiency, but I see him hesitate due to AD guarding him pretty tightly when he ISOâs. In those instances, I see Jokic passing it off a lot. Jokic is not to blame. Heâs facing a better, tougher defender in four games than he normally faces over the RS, which likely explains the .07 reduction in shot attempts per minute. Given whoâs guarding him, I understand Jokicâs choice to pass more, and shoot less. The blame goes to Murray and the others who arenât making their shots. Trust in Jokic. He knows what the team faces in Lebron and AD, and knows what heâs doing. Does he want us to play from behind every game? Nope, but he canât do it all to prevent it. That said, I expect an unusually aggressive Jokic tonight who will probably take 25-30 shots, relieving Murray and his legs of stress (if he plays). If Murray doesnât play, Jokic might take 35 shots.

Saying they are coasting is the dumbest s**t ever. Its the f***ing playoffs and they are the champs. They know the Lakers been leading most of the series. Saying they coast is disrespectful towards both the Lakers and the Nuggets, and honestly a poor excuse. Why would they coast ever game? are you watching the games Erik? the full game, not just the 10 minute youtube highlights on the NBA page. genuine question because of the time differences. I watch the full game in replay yes. So the time difference has no impact other than me not having to watch 90minutes of commercial breaks. Have you ever played competative basketball? Like genuine question.

Like bro read this again and tell me this isnt you just insinuating i dont watch games and should shut up.
But regardless there is such thing as pride among athletes. Even if i hadnt watched a single Nuggets play all season id stil guarantee that they dont ÂŤcoastÂť playoff games. And anyone that have played games that matter knows this.
Would you ask if they were coasting to their face or would you not because it could be considered disrespectful?
