Listen we're surviving this series but the Nuggets are absolutely not beating Minnesota if Murray doesn't get his head out of his ass. Just an atrociously poor series for him. I’m honestly concerned. Our guys don’t look engaged at all - lol. It’s almost like they’re just not taking the lakers seriously. We’re playing 70% to our potential right now. I’m going to assume this is because our guys are just unfocused. I’m worried that our guys might be tired - but again - I think our guys are trying to close out the lakers with the most minimal effort possible lol. As other are saying above tho - I do think that “second gear” will kick on once the ball tips against the TWolves. And while the TWolves have concerned me for a year - they’re just not conditioned well. If we close out game 4, I do expect us to put away the wolves, thanks to generous rest. You’ve been on the TWolves as the biggest threat in the west for awhile and I think that’s generally proving to be the case. The Nuggets must absolutely shoot better from distance to beat Minny. Points in the paint will be much tougher than it has been against LA. We do have home court, and if we’re rested, I think you’ll see a similar game plan from Malone from last years WCF. Run them at home and don’t let them set up their half court defense.

Just saw this stat. MPJ, AG and Jokic are the only players in this series that have higher TS% than 44% and we are up 3-0 on Lakers. That's TS% not FG%... Everyone who is worried about how we play, how we shoot and our guards decision making is legit, especially since our guards will not be guarded by DLO, Reaves and co. Jamal,KCP,Reggie and CB are playing way below the playoff/championship standard we need from them. Those 4 needs to step it up major time if we have any chance of repeating.

Don’t underestimate the Lakers defense when pointing bad performance of some players. Also KCP spent too much time on guys twice his size to have energy left for offense.

Reply to Saw -
Minny to me was always a good team. Last season they never were fully healthy, which hurt their seeding. This season, their players realized they were good and they kicked ass. Finch is also a damn good coach. I saw all of this coming.
In terms of beating them - it’s exactly what’s happening with the lakers now, and what happened with the clippers in the bubble - keep the deficit below 15, midway thru the 3rd quarter. Their legs will strain in the 3rd quarter and that’s when the jump shots will no longer fall.
I’m also starting to think that Murray is taking it easy against the lakers right now, and is basically preparing for NAW/JM. Next round really is the WCF.

Malone implied after the game that Reggie was already hurt and his status going in was somewhat in doubt.
Hopefully we can finish the Lakers off on Sunday and the Suns can extend their series some to get him some rest. Love him or hate him we need his ball handling, and he's been a plus or even in the plus/minus in all three games so far despite his shooting and decision making misadventures. His defense has held up better in the playoffs than at any point in the regular season which has been rather surprising.

yeah, Reggie has been a net neutral so far because Malone has contained him to stagger duty and he's playing much better defense than during regular season. I haven't complained about him once since the playoffs started because Jamal is playing 40MPG and you can survive with Reggie in that scenario. I hope he can recover for the second round.

I haven't complained about him once since the playoffs started because Malone is using him correctly. I hope he can recover for the second round. He's in a boot and walking on crutches, but despite that Malone just said he's questionable for game 4 and refused to rule him out. We should be able to finish off this Lakers squad without him, to be honest. LeBron seemed pretty checked out at that presser last night.

We don't need anything from Reggie. All we need from him is not to spend any minut on the floor in PO's. His playmaking is overrated and doesn't bring anything good to this team. He's not able to pass the ball to Jokic and that alone is worth not playing him. He had 4 assists/2 TO's playing all his minutes with Jokic who's literary shooting 70% from the floor. Braun had 0 turnovers and he can bring the ball down the floor same way Gordon was doing it last night. 3 for 12 shooting is disaster and he hit only 1 layup out of 5. Nothing good we got from him and his plus/minus comes from playing with Jokic who's rarely losing his minutes. Let him rest and fully recover for the next season

Lebron’s press conference ended with reminding everyone that it’s all just a game - lol - never seen an athlete tbis checked out.
Regarding RJ - I’m very heartened by Braun’s ability to drive to the hoop. Id like to see what he can do as backup PG.

I feel like LeBron will still come out similar to game 4 last year and do whatever he can to not get swept, but who really knows at this point. He definitely seems a lot more defeated this year and none of the Lakers seemed to give much of a f**k or have any real fight in the second half once Denver took the lead. We've completely demoralized them at this point, and I'm sure it feels like no matter what they do they just cannot beat this Nuggets team. So maybe they will just roll over and die, and not prolong the inevitable any longer.

it's like the Melo Nuggets vs Spurs in 2005 and 2007
in both series, it was as if they let us win G1 as an act of charity and decided after they were done indulging us. we'll finish the series if we choose to and there isn't anything the Lakers can do about it.

Reason the lakers played hard that game is someone from the FO told them that the lakers have never lost the WCF or finals on the staples center floor. That game 4 had massive pride behind them - they knew there was no tomorrow - but the FO told them that they didn’t want to see the nuggets receiving the WCF trophy on the crypto floor (the house of kobe). No bball team has ever hoisted a trophy in that building other than the lakers. So last year’s game 4 effort was to prevent that trophy ceremony - and it failed lol. It’s still surreal to me that I watched our guys hoisting that trophy in LA, while nuggets fans packed around doing the “let’s go nuggets” chant. And our guys could have accepted the trophy in the locker room - but nah - we did it on their floor. The lakers won’t be playing for as much pride tonight. (Whose your daddy….)
