Besides that airball from Pick, he and Huff looked excellent in garbage time

I really like the zeke/watson/holiday unit. They're smoothering shooters and are still quick enough to recover and defend shots in the paint. I kinda wish we would've seen more of it this year.

I would not have too many takeaways regarding offense in a game against the Hawks. Most of there games end up with an AllStar like results, and the trend did not stop without Trae.

Where is rock? I want him to repent for his Jay Huff libel earlier this year: He is still a non rotation player. Well duh, he's the third two-way. His roster spot didn't even exist last year. If Vlatko were healthy he'd be our 18th man.

Forgive my ignorance all -
So for the playoffs - its a 15-man roster.
2-way players are not allowed?

Forgive my ignorance all - So for the playoffs - its a 15-man roster. 2-way players are not allowed? Correct. They allowed two-ways during the 2021 playoffs due to COVID but that was the only exception. Gillespie, Huff, and Key are off the playoff roster alongside Vlatko, who was ruled out for the season when the Nuggets applied for a disabled player exception before the trade deadline (didn't end up making use of the cap space it created but it shows they were at least looking at some moves that didn't materialize). So for us it's a 14 man roster. Starters: 1. Jokic 2. Murray 3. Gordon 4. Porter 5. Caldwell-Pope Rotation: 6. Braun 7. Jackson 8. Watson 9. Holiday Situational: 10. Strawther 11. Nnaji 12. Jordan Garbage time and/or everybody else spontaneously combusted: 13. Pickett 14. Tyson Key and CG would be much better emergency options than Pick and Tyson but nothing we can do about that now. And damn, Vlatko would've been such a luxury to have right about now.

If I’m not mistaken, when the draft occurred and Booth decided to stock our roster with “old rookies”, later signing all three draft picks to standard NBA contracts, Cancar was healthy and playing for Slovenia at the time. It was only later in summer when Vlatko blew out his knee, but by then Booth had committed three roster spots to Strawther, Pickett, and Tyson. He was sort of stuck. I’m sure he was counting on Vlatko playing a lot this season in a rotation role in place of the departed Jeff Green. When he was lost, Booth could do nothing to backfill the roster spot (he did sign Holiday, which actually was a good signing though not for a Cancar replacement), and Malone had to compensate for the loss by playing Watson more minutes than he initially felt he was ready for. But that turned into a blessing in disguise since PWat had a better-than-expected season even with the recent struggles. If Cancar had never gotten hurt, Watson might have spent nearly as much time sitting on the bench as the three rookies did. Though he’d have been first man up, once we suffered injuries to expected rotation guys.
Booth got dealt a tough hand this season with Cancar’s loss, Zeke’s regression, and the lack of hitting on any rookies who were able to contribute much this season. He erred in giving CG the 2-way and Pickett the standard contract, and possibly erred the same way with Key vs. Tyson. But that’s a lot of 20/20 hindsight, and we shouldn’t think less of Booth due to those misses in roster decisions. The only legit critique is not leaving one open roster spot for the buyout market. But that’s all about finding a vet for our final playoff rotation…maybe. As we learned with RJ and Bryant last year, and McGee and others before that, giving Malone another vet in midseason does not guarantee he will get used in playoffs.

I believe in Playoff Reggie
Reggie's career regular season splits: 42/35/85 Reggie's career playoff shooting splits: 47/39/89

I believe in Playoff Reggie Reggie's career regular season splits: 42/35/85 Reggie's career playoff shooting splits: 47/39/89 If we can get even a remotely decent Reggie for 10-12 mpg in the playoffs that would be huge. No back to backs and hopefully there’s a game or two he doesn’t play too much so he’s fresher in the other games

If he plays well you can sit MPJ and Gordon more, if he plays poorly you probably have to feed some of his minutes to Holiday. Strawther, Zeke, and Jordan are strictly for foul trouble or injury situations. Tyson and Pickett are for garbage time only.

Bro - if we play Minny or the Pels, you're going to be seeing a lot of DJ in the playoffs.

Such has been his rise the past couple of months; especially if he can sustain the 3pt shooting.

also, if Vlatko could descend from the rafters like WCW Sting and give us some quality big man minutes off the bench, that would be great also.
my hypothetical scenario has about the same chance of happening.
