Cody Zeller - questionable (right foot sprain)
Caleb Martin - questionable (illness)
Tyler Herro - out (hand)
First I'm seeing of a Zeller injury. He's not very good and he doesn't play very much but he's the only dude in their rotation over 6'9".
Gotta think Martin plays but he didn't practice.

I think Caleb got the same flu the nuggets had the last 2 rounds. He’s done for the series, if so.
It also means it’s tearing through the rest of the heat. Not that I didn’t think this would be a sweep already - but those odds are climbing.

NBA TV is reporting that Kevin Love will start, and Caleb Martin is coming off the bench.
This will be a more competitive game, but Chuck guaranteed a more convincing Nuggets victory.

I thought they'd make this move purely for more size, but not sure how he helps them better defensively. Maybe he guards Joker and Bam roams? |

Yeah like I don't wanna get cocky but just doesn't seem like there's any moves for Miami to make outside of hoping Denver chokes/underperforms/has a bad shooting night/Miami get hot and hit some absurd shots etc. Martin's scoring has been huge for them and yeah Love gives them more size but it's not like there inserting a defensive anchor or anything. We can attack him as well. Maybe just the experience/veteran leadership. Makes a few nice rotations, grabs a few nice rebounds, and hits some big 3's but if this was game 1 I would have preferred to see that lineup honestly. Feels like with Martin being sick/having a brutal game 1 it's just taking a shot at something different tho. |
