This is going to be a really interesting one. The Heat are a team that thrives off adjustments so I'm curious to see what Spo does. Nuggets have to come out with the same level of intensity and focus they did in Game 1. Heat are guaranteed to shoot better than they did in the first 3 quarters of Game 1.
Keep playing smart basketball.

Big game. Adjustments is the right word
Very worried about the heat hitting 3s and getting to the line. We cannot expect them to shoot 30% from 3 and only 2fta. So it feels like we are starting the game in a hole compared to game 1.

You expect MPJ and Murray to shoot below 22% from 3, what they did in game one, and on the other side you expect Strauss and Ricky Martin to shoot better than our guys? On the road? Under the pressure that is 5x bigger than in game one? Wow

Miami's last 5 scoring outputs: 93 103 103 97 99 We've only scored less than 104 once this entire postseason and we won that game by 10.

Back in the December home game against Miami, the Heat were 14-35 from three (40%) they were 27-30 from the free throw line and still lost the game. Yes it was close but the Nuggets still won. Miami has always played Denver close but the Nuggets seem to rise to the occasion.

Let's be real here. Are the odds higher for Miami scrubs to shoot 43% from 3 on the road or that MPJ and Murray shoot 43% from 3 at home?

I’d bet on the nuggets knocking off the rust to shoot better from 3 than the Heat to all of a sudden get fresh legs and hit their shots.
All things being equal, the nuggets have size and Jokic. All. Day. Long.

I’ll either be dead or in jail, but I’m not worried about it because I think our chances of winning the series are still very very low

Keep playing smart basketball. I expect the Heat to go to more zone but a more aggressive ball hawking type of zone than many teams employ. I think they’d rather take away more of the paint and make it very difficult to make passes in and out of the paint and give up more jump shots and passes around the perimeter. Jokic’s screen/dribble hand off game is so devastating it is incredibly difficult to use straight up conventional defenses in which players either try to get around screens (which is almost impossible because of Jokic’s size) or switch, which you really cannot do with Jokic running that action. The Nuggets will expect zones, but that doesn’t mean it cannot be effective for stretches. On offense, I expect the Heat to try to space the court and then run actions to get guys going to the basket. I expect Highsmith to get more PT opportunity — he has fresher legs than a lot of the other guys and good physicality — unless/until his effectiveness declines. I expect the Nuggets to push the pace more in game 2 to keep the Heat off balance.

I just want to say, after Murray essentially broke the Lakers through the end of G2 through to the first half of G3 in the WCF, I have been quietly confident (no jinx) about the Nuggets chances and it's been a slow burn of elation ever since.

My entire working career, one of the first things I told bosses and co-workers was if the Nuggets ever won the championship, I would NOT be in the next day, under any circumstances.
I'm retired now. :-)
Go Nuggets !!!
