As I said before the playoffs started - When this run culminates in a championship, it will also confirm Jamal Murray as the second best player to ever wear our beloved Nuggets jersey.
Alex English, Fat Lever, Issel, Mutombo, David Thompson - these were incredible players, who we were lucky to have.
But none of them ever entered a conference finals game, down 10, with the ability to put their team on their back and single-handedly win the game. In fact - few players in NBA history do things like this.
Jamal isn't the league MVP - but he's one of those rare players that can win the game on his own. If you're within 10 points, you always have a chance if Jamal is on your team.
And you know what?
I'm grateful he's ours.

Man I love the media interviews! Joker rocks up in a shirt I'd wear to work, Jamal is in a hoody and then we have AD in sunnies (clearly no sun in the room mate) and Lebron in Lebron things.
We mean business and aren't here for a fashion parade.
Nuggets in 5

What a game man. I was so pissed in the 3rd when LA was just daring everyone to shoot and cloggin up the paint, but man oh man was that ever a carpet bombing in the 4th quarter. Bomb after bomb after bomb. Holy s**t was that fun.

I’m on such a high after that win.
I think we broke the lakers. Been a long time since lebron and AD both played 40 mins, back to back games, and lost both. You can feel it in the air here in LA - there is a demoralization happening.
PHX was different going 2-0 - their best player (Booker) is super young, along with Ayton - so it was fair to expect a bounce back. But LA fans know that an early win was needed, because AD and Lebron just don’t have what they use to.
I don’t doubt that lebron and AD come out guns blazing in game 3 - but much like tonight, we just gotta keep the score within 10, because I think AD and lebron will both run out of legs badly, by the 4th quarter.

As one who's been a fan since the first year of the ABA, I can say we have never had players this good, this focused. And I love the classic Nuggets greats. Have met them all. Issel, English, and Karl have made game or media appearances. Doug would but he is OLD. Any Nuggets classics I'm missing? There will be more every day.

I still don't believe we won this game. Watching it again, we could see real adjustments, not some "Hachimura defending Jokic FTW" stupidity.
First of all, LeBron was absolutely brilliant for 3 quarters, just like Jokic. The way Lakers defended pnr was on point, couldn't be better. They were sending LeBron of AG to help out, removing that pocket pass. Completely shut Murray/Jokic pnr. Also, LeBron reading Jokic on low post, good god, that man knew where every passing line is. Its incredible. But, Lakers payed the price for it. LeBron was completely dead in 4th. Nuggets also did pnr adjustment that basically bring them back into game. Middle of third, Nuggets started dropping Jokic on pnr, giving LeBron and AD mid range or that hookup shot AD has. And it was perfect timing. If they did this at beginning of the game, AD and LeBron would torch them. But doing that in the middle of third when legs are heavy, its completely different. Now, Malone did one huge error. That was leaving Jokic in at start of 4th. Jokic said he is cool, he had enough rest because of looking at goaltending, but he clearly wasn't right. Couple wrong reads, one missed shot... dead awful during those 2 minutes. To Malone's credit, he benched him, giving him additional few minutes. When he got back in, he was fine. Cause its not about legs. His legs were gone, that was clear, but he cleared his mind, which is equally important. Jokic didn't shoot rest of the way, he decided to work for Murray, but also was concentrate on defensive end.
End of the game was wild. LeBron, AD, Jokic and AG were all dead tired. Neither could do anything. To LeBron's credit he tried. That interception, going for the basket... Seriously, that was some mf LeBron moment. But fortunately, fatigue did its tool and he missed that layup. AD and Jokic just didn't have the legs, that was visible. Again, to Jokic's credit, he did push the pace couple more times, but without trying to shot, not allowing Lakers to press Murray full court. Murray was also tired, but for some reason, its less problematic for guards. He kept hitting those shots, insane! And AG didn't have anything. You could see on couple of LeBron's attempts for 3, those were laziest closeouts I ever saw.
For next game, Nuggets have decision to make. Go out like crazy, knowing that Jokic, Murray and AG would recover much better then LeBron. Or play so-so game, basically targeting game 4. Tough choice. But, I would go with no1. Go out, give everything you have. if thats one half of maximum effort, then its one half. I'm pretty sure LeBron will not be able to push it longer, just as AD. Lakers did get perfect contribution from Hachimura and Reaves, and thats something Nuggets will have to address, cause at this point, and how much energy everyone used so far, Nuggets wants to play Jokic/Murray vs LeBron/AD. We need one in LA. Both would be perfect, ofc, but 1 should be good enough.
ps. Bruce Brown is best FA signing in Nuggets history. and its not even close.

Incredible win. Sleeping on it overnight, but looking back, we have two weapons at home that are nearly unbeatable:
1. Murray Flurry when he locks in in 4Q, whether he’s having a bad or good shooting night first three quarters. 2. Altitude - This factor really plays into our hands in 4Q when playing LeBron and AD who each are logging 40+ minutes.
BTW, I still expect this series could go seven games, but I absolutely expect Nuggets to reach NBA Finals in the end.

I f***ing hate Austin Reaves It’s absolutely incredible how he has absorbed the whiny, flopping personality of the lakers so fast If he played for the pacers or jazz he wouldn’t be like this Now he is in the refs face crying about every call. Lebron is training them all very well

Attn Rock: The refs will absolutely give one of the two games in LA to the Lakers. Just accept it now. But also accept that it'll be okay. We'll win this series. I know they will But this series is long from over. If the lakers win game 3, now the pressure shifts to us. I don’t trust the nba at all
