When Jokic’s career is over I think there’s going to be awesome stories and just a ton of unique things that come out. A 1 of a kind superstar on and off the court. Huge opportunity tonight. Nuggets need to step up for Denver fandom. Avs disappointed. Broncos a mess. Rockies a mess. Edmonton/Vegas both still alive and have a shot at the cup. Chiefs still dominating. Nuggets win this game and IMO it becomes the best chance at a title in franchise history.

Interesting trip down memory lane for the last two times Denver has been on the road for a Game 6 with a chance to close (both against Portland, but not a terrible proximity for this PHX team given the gravity of Lillard, and while McCollum isn't Booker or Durant, he challenges Denver plenty. Also very eh role players after that, but in 2019, Rodney Hood and Evan Turner helped them win the series).
The games follow a fairly similar path for the first three quarters. Denver spends three quarters trailing, but keeping it close. The 2021 game they won it actually extends into double digit deficit in the third, but the Nuggets closed the third quarter (including a classic Monte buzzer beater 3) to keep it close, and Jokic stepped on throats in the fourth quarter.
This game is massive. And a win will almost certainly have to come ugly and through resilience and great closing. A single game against two all-universe shot makers, home or not, is a coin flip. Nobody should be assuming a Game 7 is in the bag because it's in Denver. You'll have to take punches tonight. Lots of them. You'll have to have several "how is this only a 6 point lead, it feels like Phoenix should be up 15" moments. And you have to out-execute late. This has to be a special Jokic game.
It would be really nice to play ahead more than they have in Phoenix this series and make guys hit shots when they're trailing and things get tight.

According to Shams, Ayton is no longer questionable but OUT. Huge chance for the Nuggets tonight.

I don’t know man, Ayton has been terrible. Landale has been much much better. Biyombo backing up is a thing tho maybe.

While true, Ayton is also spending his time guarding the best player in the world. If Jokic can get Jock in foul trouble early...he's going to eat the Suns alive. Biyombo can't guard him and also gives the Nuggets the opportunity to hack a Biz. Murray has to play.

Murray will play 100%. It doesn't hurt to have some excuses in his shooting bag. He's 4 for 22 from 3 in the last 4 games. 18%. That's half of the Facu's 3pt PO efficiency lol

Ayton certainly has been terrible this series, he lacks any mental fortitude and practically gave up on the Suns.
But he has given Jokic fits in the past. Who knows which Ayton would have shown up tonight if he were to play. Jock Landale has been surprising. We'll see how our guys respond to his effort.

Landale is a lock to play more physical than DA and be better on the glass. But I don't know what his offensive game is.

Landale averages about half as many stats as Ayton in 1/2 as many minutes. What this does though is give Jokic a chance to get Landale into foul trouble and Landale aint playing the whole game so we going to have some Jokic vs. Byombo minutes which is a plus IMO.

We gotta watch a game together when I’m in Denver next time man I live in NY man Only games I ever get to see live are in Brooklyn/MSG. But I was at the first Knicks/Nuggets game post Melo trade where Andre Miller hit a halfcourt 3 and the Nuggets won it OT

I don’t know man, Ayton has been terrible. Landale has been much much better. Biyombo backing up is a thing tho maybe. Landale hasn't been playing against Jokic. there is world of difference between playing against 203cm tall Gordon who isn't center and 211cm tall best player in the world. there is also difference when you are expected to play 15 and 35 minutes. Jokic will eat him alive. he basically needs to go out, demand the ball and destroy Landale. once double teams starts coming, its 3 point barrage. every single Phoenix fan will stop worshiping Landale after tonight.

That's the key to me too. Force Phoenix to double every possession. You do that by having Jokic set the tone early and eat Landale alive.

Shamet rumored to start tonight for Phoenix
So we may be looking at Payne-Shamet-Booker-KD-Landale.
Interesting. Stay at home on Booker/KD. Don't give up open 3s.
But man do we need Murray for this one. Two options to COOK in the PnR
