this Suns team is not the Showtime Lakers TNF.
they're not even the Kobe/Gasol Lakers.
they're quite literally a 2 man team. we just need to keep KD/Booker under 80 points two more times.

History is irrelevant. Gambler's fallacy. What happened to the Nuggets in 2009 or 2004 or 1997 or 1988 or 1978 has absolutely zero to do with anything happening today.

Nugglife laughs at gamblers fallacy Nugglife nothing. We were never close to good enough to win it. The closest we came we had an idiot for a coach and a chucking, selfish idiot in Melo for a best player.

I know part of me understands that sweeps in the nba are rare. Especially in the second round (I read only 20% result in sweeps and I’m guessing it’s lower when the two teams only had an 8 game win differential) So losing a playoff game on the road shouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. Every single playoff team loses games in the playoffs. Even the 73 win warriors. Yet this one feels so much worse. Feels like suns in 6. The series has flipped. They know how to beat us. They take game 4 and control the series and have all the momentum going forward. Nugglife is too strong Get a grip. What if hes right?

Get a grip. What if hes right? He's not. If we had won last night he'd still think we were screwed somehow.

Im more optimistic about this season than anyone but lets not pretend Suns cant beat us Guys - we’re not losing to the suns. More of a question of how quickly can we close them. We fucked around last night, and you guys know it. As long as we don’t take a nap, we’ll destroy the suns.

Those Lakers and Spurs were great defensively too This Suns team might be the worst defending and rebounding team we'll play in the Jokic era

Everyone gives Rock a lot of sh*t for his pessimism, but he has history to back him. As I've said, things can change and I hope they do, but it's ridiculous to ignore what's happened in the past. Unlike most here, I was a hardcore Nuggets fan when Doug Moe was coach, and decades before that. Most casuals have no idea the best TEAM the Nuggets have ever fielded were the teams in the mid-80s. Better than the Bird Celtics and the Showtime Lakers. Yes, we lost to the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals, but we were the better team. That year, the team was decimated with injuries, so it was the Denver bench playing the Lakers, not the Denver stars. Casuals don't realize the Nuggets played for the championship...in the last year of the ABA. We were the best team that year as well, but we choked, and it had little to do with Dr. J. Instead it was a plump dude named John Williamson who beat us almost single-handed, both with his scorching hot shooting and by stealing balls left and right. Another thing casuals are unaware of is that the Nuggets had the first parade in Denver, long before the Avs or the Broncos. After the loss to the Lakers, because fully healthy, we had a better than 50/50 chance of beating one of the most renowned teams in basketball history. (a part of the Doug Moe documentary, but I don't need that, because I was there) So we’re casuals for not being 75 years old?

(a part of the Doug Moe documentary, but I don't need that, because I was there) there is no such thing as Nuglife. there is no higher power involved into NBA. even if you believe in God, that God should have much more urgent things to resolve then to worry about Denver Nuggets basketball team. rock is just like Serbian president Vucic(I just hope rock is far better human being) whos first reaction on every negative thing is... to panic. and since he doesn't know how to deal with panic, he loves to hold press conference and... spread panic. ofc I'm giving rock s**t for his pessimism. he was going around here after 3 games in regular season claiming Nuggets are worse then 90% of the league and that they will not get into playoffs... then just before Christmas he was doing same. after all star break I had to listen to him crying for a month there is no chance Nuggets will win playoff series... after 3-0 lead against Minnesota his first post was "I fear we can be first team in NBA history who lose series after leading 3-0"... none of this happened, ofc, and now I need to believe that there is 0 chance we win game 4, and if we don't win game 4 we will lose series? as for history, this is first team in Nuggets history that was no1 seed. first. so its not Nuglife, more like Nuggets weren't good enough. you can claim all you like that Doug Moe team was best in NBA, they were never no1. "if they were healthy, they would be", well, thats speculation. also, who wasn't healthy during season so they didn't get no1 seed? next one, Nuggets are the only team in NBA history that won b2b playoff series after being 3-1 down. and that team has much more in common with this team(same coach and 3 starters were also part of that team) then something that happened 40 years ago If Nuggets doesn't win Championship this year, that will be because of 1 thing and 1 thing alone. And its not Nuglife. They will fail if they are not good enough. And that's it.

Nug Life is real by virtue of the fact the National Basketball Association is not financially incentivised to see a team like the Denver Nuggets win a championship so our path is harder than a glamour market. denying that denying reality.

greatest coach of all time.
greatest PF of all time.
decades ahead of the rest of the league in terms of international scouting.
that's how I explain the Spurs.

greatest coach of all time. greatest PF of all time. decades ahead of the rest of the league in terms of international scouting. that's how I explain the Spurs. Nuggets can make their own history. Malone could become HOF coach. Greatest passing center of all time. Better scouting and drafting than other NBA teams. How do you know what will happen? Pop was nobody before The Admiral, Duncan, then Parker and Ginobili.

Giannis, Kawhi and Lebron.
super popular perimeter players that bring in a metric ton of $$$ for the league every year.
and I said it was harder, not impossible. I'm bullish on the Nuggets right now, we can break the matrix.
